The National Register of Historic Places in the United States is a register including buildings, sites, structures, districts, and objects. The Register automatically includes all National Historic Landmarks as well as all historic areas administered by the U.S. National Park Service. Since its introduction in 1966, more than 90,000 separate listings have been added to the register.
This is a list of properties and districts in Ohio that are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. There are over 4.000 in total. Of these, 73 are National Historic Landmarks. There are listings in each of Ohio's 88 counties.
Honey Run Covered Bridge was a wooden covered bridge crossing Butte Creek, in Butte County, northern California in the United States. It was located on Honey Run Road at Centerville Road, about halfway in between Chico and Paradise, until it was destroyed in the Camp Fire on November 8, 2018.
Jediah Hill Covered Bridge is a historic bridge near Cincinnati, Ohio. It was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. The wooden covered bridge was built in 1850.
The South Salem Covered Bridge is a historic covered bridge in northwestern Ross County, Ohio, United States. It was built in the 1870s and has been designated a historic site because of its well-preserved historic engineering. Since its construction, it has carried Lower Twin Road over Buckskin Creek in Buckskin Township. The bridge is a wooden Smith truss bridge, built in 1873 according to a design patented by Ohioan Robert Smith in the late 1860s. Eight wooden panels wide, it rests on stone abutments and is covered with a metal roof.
The Hildreth Covered Bridge, also known as the "Hills Covered Bridge" or "Lafaber's Mill Bridge," is a historic covered bridge in Washington County, Ohio, United States. Located off State Route 26 in Newport Township, about 5 miles (8.0 km) east of the city of Marietta, the bridge historically carried Hills Bridge Road over the Little Muskingum River. Construction of the Hildreth Bridge was a long process: the most significant amount of work was done on the bridge in 1878, but the entire construction process occurred between 1871 and 1881. The identity of its builder is unknown.
The Teegarden-Centennial Covered Bridge is a covered bridge in Columbiana County, Ohio. The bridge crosses Little Beaver Creek on Eagleton Road, 0.1 miles East of county road 411 near Salem, Ohio. It is currently only open to pedestrian traffic.
The Geeting Covered Bridge, also known as Geeting Bridge, is a historic covered bridge crossing Price's Creek on Price Road west of Lewisburg, Ohio, United States. It was built in 1894 by Everett S. Sherman, one of at least 20 covered bridges built by Sherman in Preble County, Ohio. The abutments were built by the Koppee Brothers. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.
The Blackwood Covered Bridge, over the Shade River near Athens, Ohio, was built in 1881. It is a King post truss bridge. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
The historic bridges at the Lancaster campus of Ohio University were moved to the campus and sit about 100 yards (91 m) apart. The bridges were built in 1881 and 1884–85 very close to each other, both crossing Poplar Creek, and while the first-built is a wood-and-steel covered bridge and the second-built is all-steel, they are similar in design. The Kidwell Covered Bridge, in Dover Township, Athens County, Ohio between the nearby hamlets of Truetown and Redtown, was built in 1880. It spans Sunday Creek. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.
The Martinsville Road Covered Bridge, west of Martinsville, Ohio in Clark Township, Clinton County, Ohio, was built in 1871. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.
The Parker Covered Bridge, near Upper Sandusky, Ohio, was built in 1873 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.
The Parks Covered Bridge, in Perry County, Ohio near Chalfants, Ohio, was built in 1883. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.
The Rinard Covered Bridge, near Marietta, Ohio, was built in 1876. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
