The Borough of Scarborough was a non-metropolitan district with borough status in North Yorkshire, England. In addition to the town of Scarborough, it covered a large stretch of the coast of Yorkshire, including Whitby and Filey. It bordered Redcar and Cleveland to the north, the Ryedale and Hambleton districts to the west and the East Riding of Yorkshire to the south.

Digital radio ensemble operators and stations need a broadcasting licence from the UK's media regulator Ofcom to broadcast.

In Norway, Norkring operates a Digital Video Broadcasting – Terrestrial (DVB-T) network for Norges Televisjon, as well as an FM and Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) radio. Beyond Radio is a local radio station based in Lancaster, Lancashire, England. The parent company was awarded a Community Radio broadcast license by Ofcom in 2014 and launched at 10:35 am on Saturday 30 July 2016 (the time 10:35 was chosen to reflect the station's FM frequency. Following an online social media poll the first track played was 'The Boys Are Back in Town' by Thin Lizzy.
