Cumanotus is a genus of sea slugs, aeolid nudibranchs, marine gastropod mollusks. It is the only genus in the family Cumanotidae. [2] [3]
There are three species within the genus Cumanotus:
Rostanga is a genus of sea slugs in the family Discodorididae. Some sources, such as The Sea Slug Forum still classify Rostanga in the family Dorididae.
The Polyceridae are a taxonomic family of sea slugs, dorid nudibranchs, marine gastropod mollusks within the superfamily Polyceroidea.
Limapontiidae is a taxonomic family of small to minute sacoglossan sea slugs. These are marine opisthobranch gastropod mollusks.
Eubranchidae is a taxonomic family of sea slugs, marine gastropod molluscs in the superfamily Aeolidioidea, the aeolid nudibranchs.
Xymene is a genus of predatory sea snails, marine gastropod molluscs in the family Muricidae, the rock snails, found in New Zealand.
Cadlina is a genus of sea slugs, dorid nudibranchs, shell-less marine gastropod mollusks historically classified in the family Chromodorididae. Recent research by R.F. Johnson in 2011 has shown that Cadlina does not belong to the family Chromodorididae. She has therefore brought back the name Cadlinidae from synonymy with Chromodorididae. The family Cadlinidae also includes the genus AldisaBergh, 1878.
Halgerda is a genus of sea slugs, dorid nudibranchs, shell-less marine gastropod mollusks in the family Discodorididae.
Micrelenchus is a genus of small sea snails that have shells with pearly interiors and an operculum. They are marine gastropod molluscs in the subfamily Cantharidinae of the family Trochidae, the top snails or top shells.
The Aeolidida is a taxonomic clade of sea slugs, specifically aeolid nudibranchs, marine gastropod molluscs in the clade Cladobranchia. They are distinguished from other nudibranchs by their possession of cerata containing cnidosacs.
Fionoidea is a superfamily of small sea slugs, aeolid nudibranchs. They are gastropod mollusks within the infraorder Cladobranchia. The families within Fionoidea were shown to be monophyletic on DNA evidence and a re-interpretation of family characteristics was provided.
Curnonidae is a small family of sea slugs, nudibranchs, shell-less marine gastropod molluscs, in the clade Euthyneura.
Paracoryphella is a genus of sea slugs, specifically aeolid nudibranchs, marine gastropod molluscs in the family Paracoryphellidae.
Gargamella is a genus of sea slugs, dorid nudibranchs, shell-less marine gastropod molluscs in the family Discodorididae.
Cuthonella is a genus of sea slugs, specifically aeolid nudibranchs, marine gastropod molluscs in the family Cuthonellidae.
Goniaeolis is a monotypic genus of sea slug, a nudibranch, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Goniaeolididae containing the single species Goniaeolis typica. Goniaeolis is also the only genus within the family Goniaeolididae.
Gulenia is a genus of sea slugs, specifically aeolid nudibranchs, marine gastropod molluscs in the family Coryphellidae.
Cumanotus beaumonti is a species of sea slug, an aeolid nudibranch, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Cumanotidae.
Cumanotus cuenoti is a species of sea slug, an aeolid nudibranch, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Cumanotidae.
Cumanotus fernaldi is a species of sea slug, an aeolid nudibranch, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Cumanotidae.
Adinassa is a small genus of African sea snails in the family Nassariidae. The type species was originally named Adinopsis skoogi in 1923, though the genus name Adinopsis had already been used for a genus of beetles five years earlier. Nearly 100 years later, the genus was renamed Adinassa and two new species were described.
