The Czech Open is a darts tournament held now at Orea Pyramida Hotel in Prague, Czech Republic and in the past also in many other arenas in the Czech Republic. First edition of this tournament took place in 1995. In 2018-2019, it was one of the most important British Darts Organisation (BDO) and World Darts Federation (WDF) tournament.

Contents

The first winners of this tournament was Jaroslav Procházka from Czech Republic and Liza Manongson from Austria.

The WDF encourages the promotion of the sport of darts among and between those bodies, in an effort to gain international recognition for darts as a major sport. The WDF is a full member of Global Association of International Sports Federations, which is the governing body for international sports federations.

The Players Championship Finals is a darts tournament organised by the Professional Darts Corporation. The tournament originally featured the top 32 players from the Players Championship Order of Merit, a separate ranking system that only takes into account the non-televised Players Championship events on the PDC Pro Tour. In 2016, the field increased to 64 players.

The PDC European Tour is a series of darts tournaments held across Europe organized by the Professional Darts Corporation. Starting in 2012 with five events, the number of events has steadily risen with eight held in 2013 and 2014, nine in 2015, 10 in 2016, 12 in 2017, 13 in both 2018 and 2019. There were 13 scheduled in 2020. Only two events took place in 2021, with a return to 13 events in 2022, 2023 and 2024, then 14 in 2025.

Andy Baetens is a Belgian professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He is the reigning 2023 WDF World Darts champion, becoming the first Belgian player to win a world title. Baetens is also a four-time winner of the Czech Open and bronze medalist of the WDF Europe Cup. In the period from May 2023 to January 2024, he was the leader of the World Darts Federation men's ranking.
