The Women's Tennis Association (WTA) is the principal organizing body of women's professional tennis. It governs the WTA Tour which is the worldwide professional tennis tour for women and was founded to create a better future for women's tennis. The WTA's corporate headquarters is in St. Petersburg, Florida, with its European headquarters in London and its Asia-Pacific headquarters in Beijing.

The US Open Tennis Championships, commonly called the US Open, is a hardcourt tennis tournament held annually in Queens, New York. Winning all four major championships consecutively but not within the same calendar year is referred to as a "non-calendar-year Grand Slam", while winning the four majors at any point during the course of a career is known as a "Career Grand Slam".

The men's Swedish Open is an ATP Tour 250 tennis tournament on the ATP Tour held in Båstad, Sweden in July.

The WTA Tour is a worldwide top-tier tennis tour for women organized by the Women's Tennis Association. The second-tier tour is the WTA 125K series, and third-tier is the ITF Women's World Tennis Tour. The men's equivalent is the ATP Tour.

Zhu Lin is a Chinese professional tennis player. On 18 September 2023, Zhu reached a career-high singles ranking of world No. 31. She has also won one singles and one doubles title in WTA 125 tournaments, as well as 15 singles and six doubles titles on the ITF Circuit.

After 2014, both the Suzhou, and Ningbo events folded, with Suzhou being replaced by a tournament in Dalian, and new events starting in Carlsbad and Hua Hin.

The 2015 Dalian Women's Tennis Open was a professional tennis tournament played on hard courts. It was the first tournament in the 2015 WTA 125K series and took place in Dalian, China, from 8 to 13 September 2015.

The 2016 Dalian Women's Tennis Open was a professional tennis tournament played on hard courts. It was the first edition of the tournament which was part of the 2016 WTA 125K series and took place in Dalian, China, from 6 to 11 September 2016.

The 2017 Dalian Women's Tennis Open was a professional tennis tournament played on hard courts. It was the third edition of the tournament which was part of the 2017 WTA 125K series and took place in Dalian, China, from 5 to 10 September 2017.

The WTA 125K series is the secondary professional tennis circuit organised by the Women's Tennis Association. The 2018 WTA 125K series calendar consisted of ten tournaments, each with a total prize fund of $125,000 each except the Oracle Challenger Series that offer $150,000 in prize money. After 2017, Dalian Women's Tennis Open and Hawaii Tennis Open were scrapped while Hua Hin Championships was replaced by Thailand Open, an international WTA event to take place at the same venue, beginning February 2019. 5 new tournaments were introduced in Newport Beach, Indian Wells, Chicago, Houston and Anning which was earlier an ITF event.
