The Danish Basketball Cup is the annual basketball cup competition held in Denmark for professional teams. The first season of the competition was played in 1975. Bakken Bears is the all-time record holder with ten titles.

AC Horsens is a professional Danish football team, playing in the Danish Superliga. They play on Casa Arena Horsens in Horsens. Bakken Bears

Bakken Bears is a Danish professional basketball club based in Aarhus. The club currently play in the Basketligaen, the top tier basketball league in Denmark. Founded in 1953, the club has won the Basketligaen 17 times so far and holds the record for the most championships. Along with their domestic play, the club is a regular in European competitions.

The 2008–09 Danish Superliga was the 19th season of Danish Superliga league championship, which determines the winners of the Danish football championship, governed by the Danish Football Association. The season started on 19 July 2008 and ended on 31 May 2009. The defending champions were Aalborg BK.

Basketligaen

The Basketligaen is the highest professional basketball league in Denmark. The original men's first division was founded in 1957 and the current league was founded in 1998. All-time record holder in league titles is Bakken Bears, which has captured 15 titles in its history, of which 4 was won back to back from 2011 to 2014. BMS is the only team with 5 titles in a row, starting in 1986 through 1990. The main TV partner of the league is TV2 Sport. The league consists of 10 teams, with no relegation rules.

Chris Christoffersen is a retired Danish professional basketball player. He played the majority of his career with Bakken Bears of the Danish Basketligaen. He is a ten-time Danish League champion, having being a stalwart with Bakken in 14 seasons. He has also had stints in Italy, the NBA Development League, Finland, Sweden and Australia.

Jonas Gemmer is a Danish footballer who plays as a midfielder who plays for Kolding IF on loan from AC Horsens.

2016–17 Danish Superliga

The 2016–17 Danish Superliga season was the 27th season of the Danish Superliga, which decides the Danish football championship. The season was the first with a new league structure in which 14 clubs play each other home and away, until the league was split up in championship and relegation play-offs. The new structure was inspired by the one used by the Belgian First Division A and was approved by the Danish FA, Dansk Boldspil-Union, on 28 June 2015.
