Demographics

As of the2001 India census, [2] Dharamkot had a population of 15,399. Males constitute 33% of the population and females 67%. Dharamkot has an average literacy rate of 62%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; male literacy is 70%, and female literacy is 59%. In Dharamkot, 94% of the population is under 66 years of age.

Dhanaula is a city and a municipal council in Barnala district in the state of Punjab, India. Situated 18 km west of Sangrur, Dhanaula lies on the Sangrur-Barnala road. It is about 12 km from Barnala. Dhanaula was founded by Gurditta, eldest son of Taloka, in 1718. It was the capital of the erstwhile Princely State of Nabha until 1755 when Raja Hamir Singh founded Nabha town and made it the capital of the state. He also built a fort which now houses the police station of Dhanaula. A temple of Hanuman exists here. It is said that a man was digging a ditch and found an idol of Hanuman. A temple was constructed at that place, the idol was placed there, and the people began to worship it. Dhanaula is a town of temples.

Moga is a city in the Indian state of Punjab. It was made a part and headquarters of the Moga district on 24 November 1995, by the then Chief Minister Harcharan Singh Brar. Before becoming a district, Moga was a part of Faridkot District as a tehsil. Moga is situated on the National Highway 95. The area of Dharamkot block with 150 villages has been merged into Moga district, which falls under the jurisdiction of Ferozpur division.

The village is administrated by Sarpanch an elected representative of the village.
