LaSalle is a city in LaSalle County, Illinois, United States, located at the intersection of Interstates 39 and 80. It is part of the Ottawa, IL Micropolitan Statistical Area. Originally platted in 1837 over one square mile, the city's boundaries have grown to 12 sq mi (31 km2). City boundaries extend from the Illinois River and Illinois and Michigan Canal to a mile north of Interstate 80 and from the city of Peru on the west to the village of North Utica on the east. Starved Rock State Park is located approximately 5 mi (8 km) to the east. The population was 9,609 at the 2010 census, and was estimated to have decreased to 8,986 by July 2019. LaSalle and its twin city, Peru, make up the core of the Illinois Valley. Due to their combined dominance of the zinc processing industry in the early 1900s, they were collectively nicknamed "Zinc City."

The interstate runs for approximately 163.41 miles (262.98 km) through the state.
Maryland Route 363 (MD 363) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Maryland. Known for almost all of its length as Deal Island Road, the state highway runs 18.30 miles (29.45 km) from a dead end on Deal Island east to Mansion Avenue in Princess Anne. MD 363 connects Princess Anne and U.S. Route 13 (US 13) with the communities of Deal Island, Chance, and Dames Quarter on Tangier Sound in northwestern Somerset County. The state highway was constructed starting from Princess Anne around 1920, and reached Chance in the early 1930s. It was extended to Deal Island when a modern bridge to the island was constructed in 1940. MD 363 was extended to its present terminus on the island in the late 1950s.

Illinois Route 179 was a 16.3-mile-long (26.2 km) state highway in LaSalle County, Illinois. The route ran from IL 251 south of Rutland north to IL 18 west of Streator. The highway was established in 1935 and reached its full length in 1940; it was decommissioned by 1995. The route is now part of LaSalle County Route 44.
