The National Assembly is the directly elected house of the Parliament of South Africa, located in Cape Town, Western Cape. It consists of four hundred members who are elected every five years using a party-list proportional representation system where half of the members are elected proportionally from nine provincial lists and the remaining half from national lists so as to restore proportionality.

The 27th South African Parliament is the sixth Parliament of South Africa to convene since the introduction of non-racial government in South Africa in 1994. It was elected in the general election of 8 May 2019 and consists of the National Assembly and the National Council of Provinces. The National Assembly contains 400 members, while the National Council of Provinces contains 90 members. It was formally opened by President Ramaphosa's State of the Nation Address in a joint sitting on 20 June 2019.
Maurencia Natalie Gillion was a South African politician who served as a permanent delegate to the National Council of Provinces, the upper house of the South African Parliament. She was a member of the Western Cape provincial delegation, representing the African National Congress (ANC). A member of the African National Congress, he was a Member of the Executive Council in the Northern Cape from 2009 to 2019 and a Member of the Northern Cape Provincial Legislature from 2003 to 2019. In 2019 he was elected to the South African National Assembly.
Dikgang Mathews Stock is a South African politician from the Northern Cape serving as a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa since 2019. Prior to his election to the National Assembly, he served as a permanent delegate to the National Council of Provinces from 2014 to 2019. Stock is a member of the African National Congress.
Dingaan Jacob Myolwa is a South African politician from the Eastern Cape who is a Member of the National Assembly for the African National Congress (ANC). He was appointed to parliament in 2021. Myolwa had previously served as a member of the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature from 2013 to 2014 and before that, as mayor of the OR Tambo District Municipality.
Beauty Nomvuzo Dlulane is a South African politician who is currently serving as the chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Sports, Arts and Culture in the National Assembly of South Africa. She has represented the African National Congress (ANC) in Parliament since 1997. Between 2012 and 2022, she was also a member of the National Executive Committee of the ANC.
Mlindi Advent Nhanha is a South African politician and businessman from the Eastern Cape who has served as a permanent delegate to the National Council of Provinces since 2019. Nhanha is a member of the Democratic Alliance.
Zukisa Cheryl Faku is a South African politician and convicted fraudster from the Eastern Cape. A member of the African National Congress, Faku had served as the mayor of the Buffalo City Local Municipality. In 2013 she was elected to take up a seat in the National Council of Provinces. The following year, she was elected to the National Assembly of South Africa. Faku was convicted of fraud in 2016 but remained a Member of Parliament. She resigned from parliament shortly after her re-election in 2019.
Freddie Adams is a South African retired politician. A former member of the New National Party, he joined the National Council of Provinces in 2003. He joined the African National Congress in 2005. After the 2014 election, Adams became a member of the National Assembly. Adams left Parliament at the 2019 election.
Zukiswa Veronica Ncitha is a South African politician who has represented the African National Congress (ANC) in the National Council of Provinces since June 2015. Before that, she was the inaugural Executive Mayor of Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality between May 2011 and June 2015. The ANC removed her from the mayoral office after she was charged with fraud and corruption in a scandal involving the alleged misappropriation of public funds designated for former President Nelson Mandela's funeral. A former union activist in the Eastern Cape, Ncitha served on the Central Committee of the South African Communist Party (SACP) from 2007 until 2012.
Comely Humphrey Maqocwa Maxegwana is a South African politician who represented the African National Congress (ANC) in the National Assembly from 2014 until 2019, when he failed to gain re-election. Before that, he represented the ANC in the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature. He was a prominent trade unionist in the Eastern Cape during apartheid and is also a former Provincial Secretary of the ANC's Eastern Cape branch.
Litho Suka is a South African politician and former educator who served as a councillor of Nelson Mandela Bay from 2015 until 2021. He was chief whip of council between 2015 and 2016. Prior to serving in council, Suka was a Permanent Delegate to the National Council of Provinces from 2014 to 2015 and before that, a member of the National Assembly of South Africa from 2009 to 2014. Suka had served as a member of the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature from 1994 until 2009. He is a member of the African National Congress.
Nomatyala Elizabeth Hangana was a South African politician who served as Deputy Minister of Provincial and Local Government from April 2004 to May 2009. She represented the African National Congress (ANC) in the National Assembly from 1994 to 2009, excepting a hiatus from 2001 to 2004 when she served in the Western Cape Executive Council. She was a former Provincial Chairperson of the ANC Women's League in the Western Cape.
