Elachista commoncommelinae is a moth of the family Elachistidae. It is found along the coast of tropical Queensland. [1]

The wingspan is 6–6.4 millimetres (0.24–0.25 in) for males and 6.2–6.8 millimetres (0.24–0.27 in) for females. The forewings are black with a bronzy sheen. The hindwings are dark grey.

The larvae feed on Commelina species. They mine the leaves of their host plant.
