Burragorang was an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian State of New South Wales for a single term from 1988 to 1991, named after the Burragorang Valley of the Wingecarribee River. Its only member was Ian McManus. [1]

Heathcote is an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of New South Wales. It was established in 1971 abolished in 1991 and re-established in 1999. Since 2011 it is represented by Lee Evans of the Liberal Party.

Elections to the 49th Parliament of New South Wales were held on Saturday 19 March 1988. All seats in the Legislative Assembly and a third of the seats in the Legislative Council were up for election. The Labor government of Premier Barrie Unsworth was defeated by the Liberal-National Coalition, led by Opposition Leader Nick Greiner.

Bulli was an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of New South Wales in the Bulli area. It was originally created in 1930, replacing Wollongong. In 1971 it was abolished and was divided between the new electoral district of Heathcote and Corrimal. In 1991, Heathcote was abolished and Bulli was recreated. In 1999, Bulli was abolished and Heathcote was recreated.

Sutherland was an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of New South Wales from 1950 to 1971 before it was abolished. The seat was reformed in 1988 until 1999. The seat was based on the suburb of Sutherland in the southern districts of Sydney.

Ian McManus is an Australian politician. He was a Labor Party member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly from 1987 to 2003, representing the electorates of Heathcote, Burragorang (1988–1991) and Bulli (1991–99). He was a parliamentary secretary in the first two terms of the Carr Labor government.
