Port Jackson, an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of New South Wales, was established in 1991. [1] [2] [3] It was abolished in 2007 and substantially replaced by the recreated electorates of Balmain and Sydney. [4] [5]

Port Jackson was an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of New South Wales. It was created at the 1991 election and was abolished at the 2007 election being substantially replaced by the recreated electorates of Balmain and Sydney following a redistribution of electoral boundaries completed during 2004.
Sydney-Fitzroy was an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of New South Wales, created in 1894 from part of East Sydney in inner Sydney including Woolloomooloo, Potts Point and Elizabeth Bay, and bounded by Riley Street, William Street, King's Cross Road, Bayswater Road and Port Jackson. It was named after Governor FitzRoy. It was abolished in 1904 and partly replaced by Darlinghurst.

It had a single member from 1927 when the state returned to single member electorates. It was abolished in 1991 and largely replaced by Port Jackson which included the Sydney CBD. It was re-established in 2007 when Port Jackson was abolished.
