Emergency is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language biographical political drama film directed and produced by Kangana Ranaut, based on a screenplay by Ritesh Shah and story written by Ranaut. [1] Based on the Indian Emergency, it stars Ranaut as former Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi. [2] [3] The film also features Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhry, Milind Soman and Satish Kaushik in pivotal roles.

Principal photography commenced in July 2022 and ended in January 2023. [4]

Release

Initially announced to release in October–November 2023, the film was re-scheduled to release on 14 June 2024. [12] [13] But it was again postponed due to the Lok Sabha elections. [14]
