Ensemble Play is the third studio album by Japanese hip-hop duo Creepy Nuts. It was released on September 7th, 2022, through Onenation and Sony Music Associated Records. The album was preceded by four singles, including the Spring Koshien's theme song "Patto Saite Chite Haini" and the anime Call of the Night 's opening theme song "Daten". In support of Ensemble Play, the duo embarked on a concert tour of the same name throughout Japan from September to December 2022.
On March 9, 2022, Creepy Nuts released "Patto Saite Chite Haini", which served as the 94th Spring Koshien's broadcast theme song. [1] Less than a month later, they released the single "Baka Majime", on which they collaborated with Yoasobi; "Baka Majime" was featured in All Night Nippon's stage drama Ano Yoru o Oboe Tobu.
"2way nice guy" was released as the theme song for the movie The Way of the Househusband on June 1, 2022. [2] "Daten" was released as an independent single on the same day as the album's release, and served as the opening theme song for the anime Call of the Night. The single and the album also include "Losstime", which was an insert song in Call of the Night.
This is Creepy Nuts' first studio album since Case (2021), but there has not been that many changes in the scenery of the duo.[ clarification needed ] The album is primarily based on works of fiction. [3] The album title was devised by DJ Matsunaga. [4]
The album was announced on July 5, 2022, set to release with the CD single "Daten". [5] Four variations of the CD were released: Regular, Radio talk, Blu-ray, T-shirt.
The radio talk version has a QR code where you can hear an exclusive discussion around the album Ensemble Play by the artists, while the Blu-ray version includes a recording of the Case tour at Yokohama Arena, and the T-shirt version comes with an L-size T-shirt with the album cover on it.
All lyrics are written by R-Shitei, except track 1, 11; all music is composed by DJ Matsunaga.
