The Esa Unggul University (Indonesian : Universitas Esa Unggul, abbreviated as UEU) is a private university and located in 4 different areas in Jakarta, Tangerang dan Bekasi. Esa Unggul University was established on 1993.

Esa Unggul University (UEU) was founded in 1993 under the auspices of the “Kemala Bangsa Education Foundation”, a leading private university and one of the best private universities in Indonesia that has a vision which is to become one of World-class universities based on intellectuality, creativity, and entrepreneurship which excels in quality management and execution of University’s value of education, research, and community service. And has the Mission to organize quality and relevant education, Creating a conducive academic atmosphere, Creating leaders with character and high competitiveness.

The Jakarta metropolitan area or Greater Jakarta, known locally as Jabodetabekpunjur is the most populous megapolitan area in Indonesia. North Jakarta, abbreviated as Jakut, is one of the five administrative cities which form Special Capital Region of Jakarta, Indonesia. North Jakarta is not self-governed and does not have a city council, hence it is not classified as a proper municipality. It contains the entire coastal area within the Jakarta Special Capital Region. North Jakarta, along with South Jakarta is the only two cities in Jakarta to border Banten and West Java. It is also the only city of Jakarta with a coastline and thus not landlocked. North Jakarta, an area at the estuary of Ciliwung river was the main port for the kingdom of Tarumanegara, which later grew to become Jakarta. Many historic sites and artefacts of Jakarta can be found in North Jakarta. Both ports of Tanjung Priok and historic Sunda Kelapa are located in the city. The city, which covers an area of 139.99 km2, had 1,645,659 inhabitants at the 2010 census and 1,778,981 at the 2020 census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 1,801,963. According to the 2020 Census, the city population was 1,354,350 inhabitants, while the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 1,404,785 - comprising 700,754 males and 704,031 females. It is the second-largest city in Banten in terms of population, and has grown rapidly, not only as Jakarta's satellite city, but also the development of business districts and commerce due to presence of large-scale planned town by private developers.

She represented Indonesia at the Miss Universe 2016 pageant, and placed "Top 13", the second highest placement that an Indonesian representative has achieved. She also won "Miss Phoenix Smile" and placed as a Top 10 in Best in National Costume competition at Miss Universe 2016. Bintaro Jaya is a planned township located in Greater Jakarta, Indonesia. It is developed by PT Jaya Real Property Tbk. The development of the township began within South Jakarta in 1979 and is expanded further to South Tangerang in Banten province. The township is built as a satellite city for Jakarta, with a total land area of about 1000 hectares. The name Bintaro is derived from the Bintaro Village, which also takes the name of Bintaro plant, whereas Jaya came from the name of the developer. Citra Raya Tangerang is the largest integrated city developed by the Ciputra Group at Cikupa and Panongan of Tangerang Regency in Indonesia, which is located about 40 km from the capital Jakarta. The township is within Greater Jakarta and has a land area of about 2,760 hectares. Development of the township began in 1994. Population of the township is over 65,000.

Bunga Jelitha, Puteri Indonesia 2017 of Jakarta SCR 5, crowned her successor, Sonia Fergina Citra of Bangka Belitung, at the end of the event. She defeated 38 other candidates to win the title of Miss Universe Indonesia 2018 and represented Indonesia at Miss Universe 2018, where she placed as one of the Top 20 finalists.
