Eska Rock (often stylized as Eska ROCK) is a Polish radio channel broadcast by Grupa Radiowa Time. The station plays mainly modern rock, indie rock and alternative rock, from "classic" rock songs, to the newest "hits". It was the largest rock radio station broadcasting in Poland.

Eska Rock started broadcasting in Poznań on 22 November 2004, in Łódź and Warsaw on 5 September 2005 and in Kraków on 20 March 2006. [4] From 2 June 2008 to 1 December 2013, Eska Rock broadcast in 18 Polish cities. On 2 December 2013, the frequencies on which Eska Rock broadcast were switched with the frequencies of another station owned by Grupa Radiowa Time, VOX FM. Since then, Eska Rock only broadcasts in Warsaw at 93.3 MHz, [5] and has also been present online. [6]

Eska Rock headquarters were located in Primate's Palace, Warsaw, until in 2010 the station moved to 10, Jubilerska Street in Warsaw.

The Warsaw Radio Mast was a radio mast located near Gąbin, Poland, and was the world's tallest structure at 2,120 ft from 1974 until its collapse on 8 August 1991. The mast was designed for extreme height in order to broadcast Soviet propaganda around the world, including to the remotest areas such as Antarctica. As of 2023, it was the third-tallest manmade structure ever built, after the Burj Khalifa tower in the United Arab Emirates in 2009, and Merdeka 118 tower in Malaysia in 2022.

Disco polo is a genre of popular dance music, created in Poland in the 1980s. It was initially known as sidewalk music or backyard music. This genre, a type of Polish urban folk music, had great popularity in the 1990s, peaking in 1995–1997, then gradually declining in popularity through the early 21st century. The genre then had a resurgence in the winter of 2007. The Polish PWN dictionary defines the genre as a Polish variant of disco music, with simple melodies and often ribald lyrics. The service Rate Your Music defines disco polo as a Polish variant of dance-pop.

Television in Poland was introduced on an experimental basis in 1937. It was state owned, and was interrupted by the Second World War in 1939. Television returned to Poland in 1952 and for several decades was controlled by the communist government. Colour television was introduced in Poland in 1971. Poland participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with the song "The Ride" written by Joakim Övrenius, Thomas Karlsson, Clara Rubensson and Johan Mauritzson. The song was performed by Rafał. In March 2021, the Polish broadcaster Telewizja Polska (TVP) announced that the Polish entry for the 2021 contest in Rotterdam, Netherlands would be selected through an internal selection. Rafał and the song "The Ride" were announced as the Polish entry on 12 March 2021 during the TVP2 programme Pytanie na śniadanie.

"Mój jest ten kawałek podłogi", also known as "Kawałek podłogi", is a Polish-language alternative rock song by the band Mr. Zoob, written by Waldemar Miszczor. It was released in 1986 as a single and later on the 1987 Czego się gapisz? album. It is recognized as one of the most famous Polish-language rock songs and one of the most famous songs of the band. The song is about jailed man, who demands to have his own "piece of the floor", which is an allegory to people fighting for their freedom under the communist regime of the Polish People's Republic in the 1980s.
