Eska Rock (often stylized as Eska ROCK) is a Polish radio channel broadcast by Grupa Radiowa Time. The station plays mainly modern rock, indie rock and alternative rock, from "classic" rock songs, to the newest "hits".

Eska Rock started broadcasting in Poznań on 22 November 2004, in Łódź and Warsaw on 5 September 2005 and in Kraków on 20 March 2006. [2] From 2 June 2008 to 1 December 2013, Eska Rock broadcast in 18 Polish cities. On 2 December 2013, the frequencies on which Eska Rock broadcast were switched with the frequencies of another station owned by Grupa Radiowa Time, VOX FM. Since then until 2 July 2024, Eska Rock was broadcast only in Warsaw at 93.3 MHz. [3] On 27 March 2024 Eska Rock's owner acquired its competitor Muzo.fm from Telewizja Polsat and requested KRRiT to change its name to Eska ROCK and at the same time to rename the station broadcasting locally in Warsaw to Eska ROCK Warszawa. On 2 July 2024 Muzo.fm was shut down with Eska Rock taking its place. [4]

Eska Rock headquarters were located in Primate's Palace, Warsaw, until in 2010 the station moved to 10, Jubilerska Street in Warsaw.

Transmitter Koszęcin is a facility for mediumwave and FM broadcasting near Koszecin, Poland. It was opened in 1977. It has two guyed masts: the first one is 110 metres high, is grounded, and carries antennas for FM broadcasting ; the second is 138m high. That second mast is insulated from ground and used for mediumwave transmission; broadcasting of the Radio Pahonia in Belarusian is planned on 1080 kHz with ERP 350 kW using this mast. The signal will cover the whole of Europe including the Ural Mountains. Earlier, the AM Mast was used for Polish Radio and used two Tesla transmitters 750 kW each in parallel. With the transmitted power of 1500 kW it was one of the most powerful mediumwave transmitters in the world.

RTCN Białystok (Krynice) is a 331 m (1,085.96 ft) tall guyed mast for FM and TV situated at Krynice near Białystok in Podlaskie Voivodeship, Poland. The structure was built in 1996 by Mostostal Zabrze, Katowice, PL and is the seventh tallest structure in Poland. The mast is owned by TP EmiTel z o.o.

RMF FM is the first commercial radio station in Poland, currently broadcasting in AC radio format. RMF FM started broadcasting on 15 January 1990 in Kraków. The current director is Tadeusz Sołtys. The radio is wholly owned by the German Bauer Verlagsgruppe. It is the first private radio station in Poland and is available throughout the country.

"Mój jest ten kawałek podłogi", also known as "Kawałek podłogi", is a Polish-language alternative rock song by the band Mr. Zoob, written by Waldemar Miszczor. It was released in 1986 as a single and later on the 1987 Czego się gapisz? album. It is recognized as one of the most famous Polish-language rock songs and one of the most famous songs of the band. The song is about jailed man, who demands to have his own "piece of the floor", which is an allegory to people fighting for their freedom under the communist regime of the Polish People's Republic in the 1980s.

<i>1670</i> (TV series) Polish satirical comedy television series

1670 is a Polish mockumentary satirical comedy television series. The first season was released on Netflix on 13 December 2023. The series has been renewed for a second season set to premiere in 2025.
