The European Rowing U19 Championships (formerly known as the European Rowing Junior Championships) is an international rowing regatta organized by the World Rowing Federation. It is a two-to-three-day-long event for rowers under 19 years old at the end of the calendar year in which the event takes place. The age category was renamed from "junior" to "under 19" at the end of 2020, and this change came into effect at the end of 2021. [1]
Although the World Rowing Federation states that the inaugural championships took place in 2008, [2] the first event took place in 2011. [3] European Member National Federations are eligible to compete. [4]

World Rowing, also known as the World Rowing Federation, is the international governing body for rowing. Its current president is Jean-Christophe Rolland who succeeded Denis Oswald at a ceremony held in Lucerne in July 2014.
The Laser Radial or ILCA 6 is a popular one-design class of small sailing dinghy, originally built by Laser Performance. It is a singlehanded boat, meaning that it is sailed by one person. The Laser Radial is a variant of the Laser Standard, with shorter mast and reduced sail area, allowing light sailors to sail in heavy winds. The International Class is recognised by World Sailing.

He first came to the attention of the athletics world in 2011 when capturing all the Great Britain & Ireland Under 20 Men national indoor championship titles in a unique domestic athletics "grand-slam" that had never been done before. During that indoor season he also won the Welsh senior indoor title and set a Championship Best Performance in the Scottish Athletics Indoor League, placing him at the top of the UK junior men rankings for 2011.

European Junior and U23 Weightlifting Championships is an annual event organised by the European Weightlifting Federation (EWF) for Under 23 and under 20 Weightlifters in Europe. European Championships in junior category were held from 1973 under the name European Junior Weightlifting Championships (U20). In 2009 the competitions were held in two cities, European Junior Weightlifting Championships in Landskrona and the new European U23 Weightlifting Championships in Wladyslawowo. After that year, the competition took the current name.
In 2008, the European Rowing Junior Championships were introduced.
In addition, the General Assembly attributed the first-ever 2011 European Rowing Junior Championships to Kruszwica, Poland and the second European Rowing Junior Championships in 2012 to Bled in Slovenia.
