Britpop was a mid-1990s British-based music culture movement that emphasised Britishness. It produced brighter, catchier alternative rock, partly in reaction to the popularity of the darker lyrical themes and soundscapes of the US-led grunge music and to the UK's own shoegaze music scene. The movement brought British alternative rock into the mainstream and formed the backbone of a larger British popular cultural movement, Cool Britannia, which evoked the Swinging Sixties and the British guitar pop of that decade.

The View are a Scottish indie rock band that formed in Dundee, Angus in 2005. They incorporate various styles such as punk, pop, alternative rock, and folk in their music. They are best known for their 2007 single "Same Jeans" which reached number 3 on the UK Singles Chart.

It was reported on the band's official forum that the album had leaked to various internet sites in mid December 2006. The album entered the UK Albums Chart at No. 1 on 28 January 2007. Kyle Francis Falconer is a Scottish musician, singer and songwriter. He is best known as the lead vocalist of The View. Along with the other band members, Falconer hails from the Dryburgh district of Dundee. He shares songwriting responsibilities with bass guitarist Kieren Webster.
Kieren Clark Webster is the bass guitarist and occasional lead vocalist for Scottish band The View; he is also the lead vocalist for band WEB. On 27 March 2020 WEB released their first single 'Haze'. Along with frontman Kyle Falconer, he writes the majority of The View's material. In 2006, he was placed 6th in NME's Cool List. He and Falconer alternate roles on some songs such as "Skag Trendy", "Gran's for Tea", "One Off Pretender", "Realisation", "Fireworks and Flowers", "Hole in the Bed" and "Cracks", with Webster taking on guitar and lead vocals and Falconer replacing him as bass guitarist and backing vocalist. He and other band members are from the Dryburgh district of Dundee.

The band chose to record the album at Clouds Hill studios, in Hamburg, Germany. Justin Gerrish, famous for his work with Vampire Weekend, produced the final mix in New York City.
Love in the 4th Dimension is the debut studio album by British indie rock band The Big Moon, released on 7 April 2017 by Columbia Records and Fiction Records. The album was recorded at Eastcote Studios in London with producer Catherine Marks. The album was recorded across 12 days so the band could go with their first instincts musically. Prior to the album's release the tracks "Cupid", "Silent Movie Susie", "Formidable" and "Sucker" were released as singles, the latter of which being a re-recording of the band's debut single. The band toured Europe in spring 2017 to celebrate the album's release.

The band consists of Jack Cochrane, Joe McGillveray (guitar), Callum '29' Wilson (bass) and Jordan 'Joko' Mackay (drums) and was formed when the members were in school.
The Alchemist's Euphoria is the seventh studio album by British band Kasabian, released on 12 August 2022 through Sony Music. It is Kasabian's first album in five years, following For Crying Out Loud (2017), and first to feature Serge Pizzorno as a sole lead vocalist after former frontman Tom Meighan was fired in 2020 amid his domestic assault conviction. It is also their first album to feature guitarist Tim Carter as a permanent member, who contributed to all of the band's albums since West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum in 2009, and joined the band in 2013 as a touring guitarist.
