PT Express Transindo Utama Tbk (doing business under the name Express Group) is an Indonesian ground transportation company headquartered in Jakarta. Until the end of 2021, this company operates 130 taxi units and 40 bus units in Jadetabek (Greater Jakarta). [2] [3] Express Group is also the second largest taxi company in Indonesia after Blue Bird Group.

History

The company started its history in 1981 as a trading and distribution company under the name "PT Kasih Bhakti Utama". In 1991, this company changed its name to what it is now and shifted its business to land transportation. In 2002, the company started implementing a partnership scheme, in which drivers can operate one unit of the company's vehicle for five to seven years. After that, the vehicle can belong to the driver. In 2010, the company started providing premium taxi services, and in 2012, the company officially listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. [2] [3] In 2021, the company is holding a second private placement. [4]

The majority of Indonesia's railways are on Java, used for both passenger and freight transport. There are three noncontinuous railway networks in Sumatra while two new networks are being developed in Kalimantan and Sulawesi. Indonesia has finalized its plan for a national railway network recently. According to the plan, 3,200 km of train tracks that will criss-cross the islands of Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, and Sulawesi, it has been touted as the most extensive railway project in Indonesia since its independence from the Dutch in 1945. Indonesia targets to extend the national railway network to 10,524 kilometres by 2030. As of September 2022, the network spans 7,032 km.

The Trans-Java Toll Road is a tolled expressway network that runs from Port of Merak in Cilegon, the main link between the island of Sumatra and Java, to Banyuwangi, the eastern end of the island in Indonesia and the main link between the island of Java and Bali. It mainly runs through the northern coast of the island, except for the section between Semarang and Surabaya, where it runs through the centre and south of the island. PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk or Alfamart is a primarily-franchised Indonesian convenience store chain. As of June 2023, it has over 18,000 stores in 27 provinces spread across Indonesia, with 4 million daily customers and tens of thousands of micro, small and medium-scale business partners. Alfamart also has about 1,000 outlets in the Philippines. The business was started in December 1989 as a trading and distribution company in Jakarta by its president, Djoko Susanto. Ten years later, Susanto ventured into the convenience store category with Alfa Minimart, with their first branch being in Karawaci, Tangerang, Banten. Later renamed as Alfamart, the convenience store brand has since expanded to the Philippines, with its first Philippine branch located in Trece Martires, Cavite.

Bintaro Jaya is a planned township located in Greater Jakarta, Indonesia. It is developed by PT Jaya Real Property Tbk. The development of the township began within South Jakarta in 1979 and is expanded further to South Tangerang in Banten province. The township is built as a satellite city for Jakarta, with a total land area of about 1000 hectares. The name Bintaro is derived from the Bintaro Village, which also takes the name of Bintaro plant, whereas Jaya came from the name of the developer.

It was established in 1989 by Setyono Djuandi Darmono, marked by the development of an integrated city in some 5,600 hectares of land which is Kota Jababeka in Cikarang. Large-scale social restrictions or LSSR was a health and public movement restriction issued by the Indonesian government in response to prevent the COVID-19 pandemic from spreading. The restrictions were implemented by local government with the approval of the Ministry of Health. It includes measures such as closing public places, schools, restricting public transport, and limiting travel from and to the restricted areas. On 7 January 2021, the Ministry of Home Affairs decreed the rename of the measure in Java and Bali into the Community Activities Restrictions Enforcement or CARE.
