Termez Airport is an airport serving Termez, a city in southern Uzbekistan. It was used as a base for German Air Force C-160 "Transalls" which were part of the German ISAF-contingent.

Asian Highway 76 (AH76) is a major road of northern Afghanistan. It connects Pole khomri at AH7 to Mazar-i-Sharif, passing through Samangan on the way, and then passes west and eventually ends at Herat, where it unites with AH1 and AH77 At Mazar-e-Sharif the road continues and joins the A01 and AH77 highways. Another road passes north from the A76 and connects it to Termiz in southern Uzbekistan. Note though that this "other road" is often regarded as a continuation of the A76, although it is actually part of the historical Pamir Highway, now known as the M41 highway (AH62). This road links Mazar-i-Sharif across the Amu Darya river, to Termiz. The Pamir Highway or the M41 is an extremely important highway of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, which connects Termiz to Kara Balta to the west of Bishkek and links with the M39 highway twice at both cities.

Termiz is a district of Surxondaryo Region in Uzbekistan. It surrounds the city Termez (Termiz), which is not part of the district. Its seat is the town Uchqizil. It has an area of 860 km2 (330 sq mi) and its population is 78,600. The district consists of 9 urban-type settlements and 5 rural communities.

Uchqizil is an urban-type settlement in Surxondaryo Region, Uzbekistan. It is the administrative center of Termiz District. Its population was 3,408 people in 1989, and 3,700 in 2016.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2024 FIFA Futsal World Cup</span> International futsal event

The 2024 FIFA Futsal World Cup is the tenth edition of the FIFA Futsal World Cup, the quadrennial international futsal championship contested by the men's national teams of the member associations of FIFA. The tournament was held in Uzbekistan. It was the first FIFA tournament ever hosted by Uzbekistan and the first FIFA tournament to take place in Central Asia. The tournament will return to its usual four-year cycle after the previous tournament was delayed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
