Faculty of Management Studies, Udaipur, or FMS Udaipur, was founded in 1982.FMS Udaipur is one the prominent B-Schools in North India. FMS Udaipur has been ranked among the top three business schools in Rajasthan. FMS Udaipur comes under the aegis of Mohan Lal Sukhadia University (MLSU), Udaipur(NAAC Accredited A grade State University). The Faculty of Management Studies is located at lush green campus of MLS University with a vast library, computer laboratory and other infrastructure. It is one of the oldest business schools in Rajasthan and has a strong alumni network. The institute has smart classrooms and seminar hall. Faculty of Management Studies offer Master of Business Administration in the areas, M.B.A. regular (CMAT), M.B.A. (Financial Services Management) and M.B.A. (E-Business). FMS provides its students an exposure to corporate world through the provision of Summer Internship, Major Research Project, etc. Various industry experts and corporate personalities are invited regularly for delivering lectures for students. FMS aims at the overall personality development of students.
Rajasthan is a state in northern India. The state covers an area of 342,239 square kilometres (132,139 sq mi) or 10.4 percent of the total geographical area of India. Mohanlal Sukhadia University also called University of Udaipur is a public university in Udaipur city in Indian state of Rajasthan. It consists of four constituent colleges and 60 affiliated colleges from the districts of Udaipur, Chittorgarh, Rajsamand, Banswara, Dungarpur, Pratapgarh and Sirohi. The earlier agricultural university was turned into a multi-faculty university in 1964 and named university of Udaipur. In 1984 it was renamed as Mohanlal Sukhadia University in memory of politician Mohanlal Sukhadia.
Udaipur, also known as the "City of Lakes", is a city governed by Municipal Corporation which comes under Udaipur Metropolitan Region. It is the historic capital of the kingdom of Mewar in the former Rajputana Agency. It was founded in 1558 by Maharana Udai Singh II of the Sisodia clan of Rajput, when he shifted his capital from the city of Chittorgarh to Udaipur after Chittorgarh was besieged by Akbar. It remained as the capital city till 1818 when it became a British princely state, and thereafter the Mewar province became a part of Rajasthan when India gained independence in 1947.

Students are selected on the basis of CMAT score which is conducted for taking admission in Management Institutions. CMAT is conducted twice in a year by AICTE. Admission Test is conducted in September and February every year.
