Round Top is a town in Fayette County, Texas, United States. The population was 87 at the 2020 census.
James Riely Gordon was an architect who practiced in San Antonio until 1902 and then in New York City, where he gained national recognition. J. Riely Gordon is best known for his landmark county courthouses, in particular those in Texas. Working during the state's "Golden Age" (1883–1898) of courthouse construction, Gordon saw 18 of his designs erected from 1885 to 1901; today, 12 remain.
La Grange is a city in Fayette County, Texas, United States, near the Colorado River. La Grange is in the center of the Texas-German belt. The population was 4,391 at the 2020 census, and in 2018 the estimated population was 4,632. La Grange is the county seat of Fayette County.

The Darke County Courthouse, Sheriff's House and Jail are three historic buildings located at 504 South Broadway just south of West 4th Street in Greenville, Ohio. On December 12, 1976, the three buildings of the present courthouse complex were added to the National Register of Historic Places.
The Warsaw Courthouse Square Historic District is a historic district in Warsaw, Indiana that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. Its boundaries were increased in 1993.
Crown Point Courthouse Square Historic District is a historic district in Crown Point, Indiana, that dates back to 1873. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004. Its boundaries were changed in 2005, and it was increased in 2007 to include a Moderne architecture building at 208 Main Street. The late nineteenth- and early twentieth-century commercial and public buildings represent a period of economic and political growth. The Lake County Courthouse stands in the center of the district. Designed by architect John C. Cochrane in 1878, this brick building is a combination of Romanesque Revival and Classical styles. Enlarged in 1909 with the addition of north and south wings, designed by Beers and Beers. Continued growth in the county required second enlargement in 1928. This local landmark was placed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

Alfred Giles was a British architect who emigrated to the United States in 1873 at the age of 20. Many of the private homes and public buildings designed by Giles are on the National Register of Historic Places and have been designated Recorded Texas Historic Landmarks. Based in San Antonio, his buildings can be found predominantly in south Texas and northern Mexico. Giles is credited with "a profound influence on architecture in San Antonio."
Fayetteville Historic District is located in Fayetteville, Texas. The small town of Fayetteville is in rural south east central Texas midway between Houston and Austin. The oldest extant building in the district was constructed in 1853. The historic district represents most of the development within town boundaries as indicated by street signs, the boundaries have been drawn to exclude some areas in town occupied primarily by construction from after 1958. The area of the district is 153.5 acres (62.1 ha) and includes 345 properties considered historical and largely intact. An additional 137 properties within district boundaries are not considered for contribution to the historic status of the district. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) on July 10, 2008.
Fayette Courthouse Square Historic District is a national historic district located at Fayette, Howard County, Missouri. The district encompasses 35 contributing buildings in the central business district of Fayette. It developed between about 1828 and 1947 and includes representative examples of Second Empire, Italianate, and Romanesque Revival style architecture. Located in the district is the separately listed Dr. Uriel S. Wright Office. Other notable buildings include the Fayette Public Library (1914), City Hall (1925), New Opera House Block (1903), A. F. Davis Bank, Commercial Bank (1910), The New Century Block Building (1902), Bell Block Building (1883), U.S. Post Office Building (1925), Howard County Jail and Residence, and Howard County Courthouse (1887).
Thomas Firth Lockwood was the name of two architects in the U.S. state of Georgia, the father and son commonly known as T. Firth Lockwood Sr. (1868-1920) and T. Firth Lockwood Jr. (1894-1963). Thomas Firth Lockwood Sr. came with his brother Frank Lockwood (1865-1935) to Columbus, Georgia, from New Jersey to practice architecture.

The Fayette County Courthouse and the Fayette County Jail are two historic buildings in La Grange, Texas. The courthouse was designed by James Riely Gordon and built in 1891 by Martin, Byrne and Johnston. The jail was built earlier in 1881 by Fritz Schulte and designed by John Andrewartha and James Wahrenberger. Both buildings were added to the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) as a single listing on January 23, 1975. and designated a Texas State Antiquities Landmark on January 1, 1981 by the Texas Historical Commission (THC). Texas historical marker number 12627 erected in 2001 commemorates the courthouse's status as a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark, marker no. 18757 placed in 2017 does likewise for the jail. On January 16, 2001 both buildings were designated and recorded in the NRHP as contributing properties to the Fayette County Courthouse Square Historic District.
