The Fiji International was a men's golf tournament in Fiji, sanctioned by the PGA Tour of Australasia. The Fiji International was Fiji's first internationally broadcast golf tournament to a worldwide audience across more than 30 countries in over 400 million homes, a first for a single sporting event in Fiji. The inaugural tournament was held from 14–17 August 2014 at Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course. It was a tier one event on the PGA Tour of Australasia and was co-sanctioned with OneAsia. The purse for the event was US$1,000,000. [2] [3] The 2015 event was played in October with a A$1,125,000 purse and was again co-sanctioned by OneAsia.

Beginning in 2016, the event was co-sanctioned with the European Tour. [4] From 2017 it was also co-sanctioned by the Asian Tour. Prize money was A$1,500,000 in 2016 and 2017 and A$1,250,000 in 2018.

Vijay Singh Fijian-Indian professional golfer (born 1963)

Vijay Singh, nicknamed "The Big Fijian", is a Fijian professional golfer. He has won 34 events on the PGA Tour, including three major championships: one Masters title (2000) and two PGA Championships. WGC Invitational Professional golf tournament

The WGC Invitational was a professional golf tournament that was held in the United States. Established in 1999 as a successor to the World Series of Golf, it was one of three or four annual World Golf Championships (WGC) until 2021, when the number of WGC events was reduced to two.

The Johnnie Walker Classic was a European Tour golf tournament which was played in the Asia-Pacific region. Johnnie Walker is a brand name and the owners have a long history of tournament sponsorship. They also sponsored the Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles which was a European Tour event played in Scotland.

The Singapore Open is a golf tournament in Singapore that is part of the Asian Tour schedule. The event has been held at Sentosa Golf Club since 2005 and since 2017 has been part of the Open Qualifying Series, giving up to four non-exempt players entry into The Open Championship.

WGC-HSBC Champions

The WGC-HSBC Champions is a professional golf tournament, held annually in China. Inaugurated in 2005, the first seven editions were played at the Sheshan Golf Club in Shanghai, then moved to the Mission Hills Golf Club in Shenzhen for a single year in 2012. It returned to Sheshan Golf Club in 2013.

The Japan Golf Tour was invited to participate in the project in 2012 and has co-sanctioned the Indonesia Open, Indonesia PGA Championship and Thailand Open. Sheshan Golf Club is the first premier private golf club in Shanghai, China. Founded in 2004, the 18 hole golf course plays to a par of 72 and is designed by Nelson and Haworth Design, and spans over 7,266 yards. Every year, the club plays host to the WGC-HSBC Champions, and is currently the only club to host the Championship. Sheshan Golf Club was awarded the Best Golf Course in China by Golf Digest in 2013 and currently tops of the list of Top Clubs in China by Golf Magazine.

Perth International

The World Super 6 Perth is a golf tournament that was played for the first time in October 2012 as the ISPS Handa Perth International. It is played at Lake Karrinyup Country Club in Perth, Western Australia. It is co-sanctioned by the European Tour and the PGA Tour of Australasia. From 2016 it has also been co-sanctioned by the Asian Tour. It is one of the richest golf tournaments in Australia, with a A$1.6 million purse.

True Thailand Classic was a golf tournament, co-sanctioned by the Asian Tour and the European Tour, played in Thailand in 2015 and 2016. The inaugural tournament was played from 12–15 February 2015 at the Black Mountain Golf Club, in Hua Hin. It had a purse of US$2,000,000, twice as high as the other leading tournaments in the country, the Thailand Golf Championship and Thailand Open.

The 2016 European Tour was the eighth edition of the Race to Dubai and the 45th season of golf tournaments since the European Tour officially began in 1972.
