Get Tragic is the fifth studio album by British band Blood Red Shoes. It was released in January 2019 under Jazz Life Records.
After the release of the band's fourth self-titled album, the members were considering a hiatus. [9] During this period, singer Laura-Mary Carter moved to the US and collaborated with Natalie Chahal and together with drummer Jorma Vik they founded a one-off band Shit Girlfriend. [10] They released one single, "Mummy's Boy / I Don't Want To Die", on 22 April 2017. During her stay in the US, Carter suffered a broken arm in a motorcycle accident. Because of the injury, her songwriting became more vocal-oriented and she started using keyboard instruments more often. [11] Drummer Steven Ansell commented on this period: "[I] went out and took drugs and went clubbing for about half a year. I don’t remember a lot about it. Classic break-up move, right?” When the duo reunited again and started composing a new album, they decided to call it Get Tragic because of these circumstances. [12]
In an interview with the Swiss music magazine Indiespect, Laura-Mary Carter commented on the different sound of the album: "I didn’t really sing that much on the other records, how I liked to sing. It gave me time to explore my voice which was really cool. That changed how the sound of the record is and it was the biggest thing that came out for me out of that." Ansell added: "This record is much more depressing than the one before. But that’s just where we were mentally. [...] Actually, forcing ourselves to try different things, that’s a really unpleasant process. You take away all the things that are comfortable, easy and you know and like. Then you’re making music and constantly throw it away. We were exploring so many things that weren’t good enough. It was like a constant process of failure. That was quite upsetting to go through, creatively." [13]
Get Tragic received generally positive reviews from critics. Metacritic, which assigns a normalised rating based on a range of reviews from several sources, aggregated the album's average review score to 82 out of 100, based on seven reviews. [14] MusicOMH's Sam Shepherd stated that the band "have never sounded so focused and alive" a praised its "assertive guitars and pounding drum patterns". [15] Drowned In Sound's Nicoletta Wylde concluded that "Get Tragic, quite candidly, is a virtually perfect record" because of its "catchy choruses, glam-rock guitars, electronic riffs that don’t leave your mind for days, mind-blowing lyrics", [16] Josh Gray of Clash, however, felt that the album "lacks the untethered aggression of past efforts". [17]

Zachary Phillip Wylde is an American musician. He is best known as the lead guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne and as the founder, lead guitarist, lead singer, songwriter and producer of the heavy metal band Black Label Society.

Shinedown is an American rock band from Jacksonville, Florida, formed by singer Brent Smith in 2001 after the dissolution of his previous band, Dreve. Fire like This is the second album by Brighton-based rock band Blood Red Shoes, released on 1 March 2010 in the UK and Europe through V2 Records. The album was recorded and mixed in late summer 2009 as a co-production with Mike Crossey, and was preceded by the free download single "Colours Fade", which was released on their website on 25 November 2009, and "Light It Up", which was released on 7" vinyl and via download on 22 February 2010. In January 2010, Blood Red Shoes started putting songs on their website for streaming one by one. By 26 February, the entire album was available to listen to on the site. The album was released in the USA and Canada on 12 October 2010.
Director's Cut is the ninth studio album by English singer-songwriter Kate Bush, released on 16 May 2011. It contains no new material, consisting of songs from her earlier albums The Sensual World (1989) and The Red Shoes (1993). All tracks have new lead vocals, drums, and instrumentation and are remixed and restructured. Some song were transposed to a lower key to accommodate Bush's lowering voice. Three of the songs, including "This Woman's Work", have been completely rerecorded, often with lyrics changed in places. Bush described the album as a new project rather than a collection of remixes.

Blood Red Shoes is the fourth album by Brighton-based rock band Blood Red Shoes, released on 3 March 2014 in the UK and Europe through Jazz Life Records. The album was recorded over a 6-month period in Berlin and was entirely self-produced and engineered by the band themselves. The first song from the album, "The Perfect Mess", was released on 1 December 2013, after 10 QR codes were found in different cities by the band's fans.

The band's first studio album since 2011's I'm with You, it was produced by Danger Mouse, who replaced Rick Rubin after 25 years and six albums as the band's producer. Distant Sky: Live in Copenhagen is an extended play by the Australian rock band Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. It was released on 28 September 2018 on Bad Seed Ltd. Containing four tracks from a performance at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark in October 2017, the EP was preceded by a concert film of the same name directed by David Barnard. Critical response to Distant Sky: Live in Copenhagen was unanimously positive and the EP charted worldwide, reaching number one on the United Kingdom's Vinyl Albums chart.
I Disagree is the third studio album by American singer-songwriter Poppy. it was released through Sumerian Records on January 10, 2020. It marks her first release on Sumerian following her departure from Mad Decent in 2019, as well as her final collaborative project with Titanic Sinclair before the end of their creative partnership in 2019. I Disagree debuted at number 130 on the Billboard 200 for the week of January 25, marking Poppy's first entry on the chart. The album also experienced moderate chart success in Australia and the United Kingdom, debuting atop the Rock & Metal Albums Chart in the latter.
