Gnorimoschema hoefneri is a moth in the family Gelechiidae. It was described by Rebel in 1909. It is found in the Alps in Austria, Italy and Slovenia. [1] [2]
The wingspan is 17–18.5 mm. The forewings are whitish-grey, strigulated with blackish-grey scales. The hindwings are grey. [3]

Charles Grey, 2nd Earl Grey, known as Viscount Howick between 1806 and 1807, was a British Whig politician who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1830 to 1834. He was a descendent of the House of Grey and the namesake of Earl Grey tea.
Earl Grey tea is a tea blend which has been flavoured with oil of bergamot. The rind's fragrant oil is added to black tea to give Earl Grey its unique taste. Traditionally, Earl Grey was made from black teas such as Chinese keemun, and therefore intended to be served without milk. Some blend the tea with lapsang souchong tea which lends a smoky character. Other varieties have been introduced as well, such as green or oolong.
