Go-Ahead Norge is a railway operator in Norway that commenced operations in December 2019. It is a subsidiary of the Go-Ahead Group. The branding used is Go-Ahead Nordic.
In October 2018, Go-Ahead Norge was awarded an eight-year contract by the Norwegian Railway Directorate to operate the Oslo South package, consisting of three routes operated by Vy beating off competition from SJ Norge and Vy with operations commencing on 15 December 2019. [1] [2] [3]
Go-Ahead Norge operates services on the Arendal, Jæren and Sørlandet Lines. [4]
Go-Ahead Norge operates 20 electric multiple units; two Class 69s, 11 Class 72s and seven Class 73s. It also operates three El 18 electric locomotives and 14 B7 carriages. All are leased from Norske Tog. [5]
SJ is a government-owned passenger train operator in Sweden. SJ was created in 2001, out of the public transport division of Statens Järnvägar, when the former government agency was divided into six separate government-owned limited companies. In 2018, SJ carried 31.8 million passengers.

NSB Class 72 is a class of 36 electric multiple units built by AnsaldoBreda for the Norwegian State Railways. Delivered between 2002 and 2005, the four-car units operate on the Oslo Commuter Rail and the Jæren Commuter Rail. The trains have a capacity of 310 passengers and the 2,250 kilowatts (3,020 hp) motors allow a maximum speed of 160 kilometres per hour (99 mph). The trains were ordered in 1997, with original delivery dates in 2001 and 2002. NSB also had an option to buy 40 additional units. The first units were not delivered until 2002, and by 2004, still half the trains were not in use. Faults included rust, too heavy train weight, and signaling problems. After the initial troubles, the Class 72 has been a highly successful train for NSB and well liked by the maintenance workers.

It was the key operator of commuter and regional services in South East London and Kent, and also served parts of East Sussex.
Vy Gjøvikbanen AS is a Norwegian railway company that operates the passenger train service on the Gjøvik Line. A subsidiary of the state-owned Vy, it operates a fleet of nine Class 69g three-car electric multiple units. NSB Gjøvikbanen provides two different services: the Skøyen – Oslo S – Jaren service is part of the Oslo Commuter Rail; while Oslo S – Gjøvik is a regional service, with only limited stops on the route until Grua. Departures are each 40 minutes, with every third train running to Gjøvik.
Vy Tåg AB is a Swedish railway company that operates franchises in different parts of Sweden. The company was founded in 1999 by three former railway employees in Statens Järnvägar and the investment company Småföretagsinvest/Fylkinvest. In 2005 Norwegian State Railways purchased 34% of Svenska Tågkompaniet, and later on October 31, 2006 increased its ownership stake to 85%. In 2007 NSB purchased the rest of the company.

Stadler FLIRT is a passenger multiple unit trainset made by Stadler Rail of Switzerland. The baseline design of FLIRT is an electric multiple unit articulated trainset that can come in units of two to twelve cars with two to six motorized axles. The maximum speed is 200 km/h (124 mph). Standard floor height is 57 cm, but 78 cm high floors are also available for platform heights of 76 cm.
