Brewster Academy is a co-educational independent boarding school located on 80 acres (32 ha) in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, United States. It occupies 0.5 miles (800 m) of shoreline along Lake Winnipesaukee. With around 350 students, it serves grades nine through twelve and post-graduates. The 2023 full boarding tuition is $72,700. Van Andel Arena is a multi-purpose arena situated in the Heartside district of Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States. The arena attracted over five million patrons in its first 5 years, 1996–2001. It serves as the home of the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League and the Grand Rapids Gold of the NBA G League. It will also be the home of the Grand Rapids Rise of the Pro Volleyball Federation starting in January 2024. Seating 10,834 for ice hockey and up to 13,184 for concerts, Van Andel Arena is the fourth-largest arena in Michigan, as well as West Michigan's largest; only Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, the Jack Breslin Student Events Center in East Lansing, and Crisler Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan, are larger.
McClymonds High School is a public high school in the West Oakland neighborhood of Oakland, California, United States. In addition to being the third oldest high school in Oakland, it is the only comprehensive high school in West Oakland, operated by the Oakland Unified School District. It was nicknamed the "School of Champions" in the early 1960s, after a number of award-winning athletes attended.

David Anderson Kool is a former collegiate basketball player for the Western Michigan Broncos men's basketball team. Kool is WMU's all-time leading scorer and was named Mid-American Conference (MAC) Player of the Year in his senior season. Kool was the boys' basketball coach at Jenison High School in Jenison, Michigan and at Holland Christian High School, in Holland, Michigan. Kool previously served as assistant coach for the WMU men's basketball team from 2011–13. Kool was named athletic director at South Christian High School on April 15, 2020.

Dennis R. Bell is an American former professional basketball player. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, he played collegiately for Drake University. He was selected by the New York Knicks in the 5th round of the 1973 NBA draft. He played for the Knicks (1973–76) in the NBA for 63 games.

Opened in 1947, The school is operated by the Chicago Public Schools. Carver is named for African-American scientist and educator George Washington Carver.

Kobe Bufkin is an American professional basketball player for the Atlanta Hawks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The Hawks drafted him with the 15th overall selection in the 2023 NBA draft. He has also played professionally for the Hawks' NBA G League affiliate, the College Park Skyhawks. Bufkin played in high school for Grand Rapids Christian High School where he was a three-time All-state honoree and a 2021 McDonald's All-American Boys Game selection. Bufkin played college basketball for the Michigan Wolverines where he was a 2023 third team All Big Ten selection as a sophomore.
William Post was an American businessman and inventor. Born to Dutch immigrants and raised in Michigan, Post became the plant manager for Hekman Biscuit company, a cookie company he worked for since he was sixteen years old. As plant manager, he was approached by Kellogg's to create a toaster pastry which later became known as the Pop-Tart, gaining credit for leading the team that invented the confection. He eventually became senior vice president of Keebler's until his retirement at age 56. After he retired, Post worked as a consultant and brand ambassador until 2003.
