Grand Rapids Christian High School (GRCHS) is a private Christian secondary school in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Founded in 1920, "Christian High" is a member of Grand Rapids Christian Schools and Christian Schools International.[ citation needed ] The school was first accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools in 1925, one of the first six high schools in Kent County to receive that honor.[ citation needed ] GRCHS is also a member of the Michigan Association of Non-public Schools.[ citation needed ]

Van Andel Arena is a multi-purpose arena situated in the Heartside district of Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States. The arena attracted over five million patrons in its first 5 years, 1996–2001. It serves as the home of the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League and the Grand Rapids Gold of the NBA G League. It will also be the home of the Grand Rapids Rise of the Pro Volleyball Federation starting in January 2024. David Anderson Kool is a former collegiate basketball player for the Western Michigan Broncos men's basketball team. Kool is WMU's all-time leading scorer and was named Mid-American Conference (MAC) Player of the Year in his senior season. Kool was the boys' basketball coach at Jenison High School in Jenison, Michigan and at Holland Christian High School, in Holland, Michigan. Kool previously served as assistant coach for the WMU men's basketball team from 2011–13. Kool was named athletic director at South Christian High School on April 15, 2020.

Kobe Bufkin is an American professional basketball player for the Atlanta Hawks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The Hawks drafted him with the 15th overall selection in the 2023 NBA draft. He has also played professionally for the Hawks' NBA G League affiliate, the College Park Skyhawks. Bufkin played in high school for Grand Rapids Christian High School where he was a three-time All-state honoree and a 2021 McDonald's All-American Boys Game selection. Bufkin played college basketball for the Michigan Wolverines where he was a 2023 third team All Big Ten selection as a sophomore.
William Post was an American businessman and inventor. Born to Dutch immigrants and raised in Michigan, Post became the plant manager for Hekman Biscuit company, a cookie company he worked for since he was sixteen years old. As plant manager, he was approached by Kellogg's to create a toaster pastry which later became known as the Pop-Tart, gaining credit for leading the team that invented the confection. He eventually became senior vice president of Keebler's until his retirement at age 56. After he retired, Post worked as a consultant and brand ambassador until 2003.
