Greek National Road 22 is a national highway of Greece. It connects Kakavia, on the border with Albania, with Kalpaki. It's a part of European route E853.

The Kakavia or Kakavijë border crossing is a major road border crossing between southern Albania and northwestern Greece. On the Albanian side lies the village of Kakavijë, located in the Gjirokastër County, Dropull region. On the Greek side lies the village of Ktismata, in the Delvinaki municipality, Ioannina regional unit. The main road from Sarandë and Gjirokastër to Ioannina passes through this border crossing. The Greek National Road 22 connects Kakavia with the GR-20 at Kalpaki.

At Niki, it connects with the M5K motorway to Bitola. Greek National Road 3 is one of the longest highways in Greece and until the 1960s it served as the main route from Larissa to Thessaloniki. The new A1 motorway now offers a faster connection to Thessaloniki. Most of the EO3, except the southernmost section between Eleusis and Bralos, is part of the E65.
Greek National Road 6 is a national road in north-central Greece. It begins at the port of Igoumenitsa and ends at Volos, passing through the towns Ioannina, Metsovo, Trikala and Larissa. The section between Metsovo and Volos is part of the European route E92. The road runs through five regional units and the regions of Epirus and Thessaly.

The section between Ioannina and Kalpaki is part of the European route E853.

Until 2016, the EO39 coincided with the European route E961 for most of its length, now it is mainly designated on the A71.
Thyamida was one of the four provinces of Thesprotia Prefecture of Greece. Its territory corresponded with that of the current municipality Igoumenitsa, except the municipal units Margariti and Perdika. Its seat was the town Igoumenitsa. It was abolished in 2006.

Argyria was a town located in the ancient Troad on the right bank of the Aesepus River near Scepsis. It was noted for its silver mines, whence the town's name. Strabo further clarifies its location as at the foot of Mount Ida near the source of the Aesepus.
