Greek National Road 65 is a national highway of Greece. [1] It connects the Greek National Road 2 at Diavata, a northwestern suburb of Thessaloniki, with Kilkis. Most of the National-Road has been upgraded to a Motor-Road, connecting Thessaloniki via Kilkis with Doirani, the eastern border of Greece and North Macedonia.

The Road will be constructed as a Motor-Road, the part Nea Santa until Kilkis are ready, the second part after Kilkis will be constructed until 2014.

At Niki, it connects with the M5K motorway to Bitola. The section Kozani - Niki is also designated as the A27 motorway, part of which is operational as a 2-lane motorway.

The Hellenic Railways Organisation or OSE is the Greek national railway company which owns, maintains and operates all railway infrastructure in Greece with the exception of Athens' rapid transit lines. Greek National Road 2

Greek National Road 2 is a single carriageway with at-grade intersections, located in the regions of West Macedonia, Central Macedonia and East Macedonia and Thrace. It connects the Albanian border near Florina with the Turkish border near Alexandroupoli. Its section east of Thessaloniki has been replaced by the new A2 motorway. The section between the Albanian border and Thessaloniki is part of European route E86.

Egnatia Odos (modern road)

Egnatia Odos or Egnatia Motorway is the Greek part of European route . It is a motorway in Greece that extends from the western port of Igoumenitsa to the eastern Greek–Turkish border at Kipoi. It runs a total of 670 km (420 mi). The megaproject began in 1994 and was completed in 2009 at a cost of €5.93 billion ; it was managed by the company Egnatia Odos, S.A.

Neochorouda is a village in the Oraiokastro municipality, Thessaloniki regional unit, northern Greece. It was formerly known as Tria Hania. The village itself was built on the crossroads of the road between Kilkis and Athens and thus saw a lot of traffic, hence the name. It was situated in the swamps near the lake of Giannitsa. It was abandoned during the Turkish rule of Macedonia, most likely in lieu of a better position, away from the swamps. Today the village is abandoned. The new village was named Neochorouda (Νεοχωρούδα), which literally means “new village”. Neochorouda is situated north-west of Thessaloniki, on the southern slopes of Mount Kardakli (Καρδακλί).

Greek National Road 12

Greek National Road 12 is a single carriageway road in northern Greece. It connects Thessaloniki with Kavala, passing through Serres and Drama. It also serves traffic heading towards the north, to the Greek/Bulgarian border. The section between Thessaloniki and Serres forms part of the Ε79 route. Part of the GR-12 has been replaced by the new motorway 25 and the Egnatia Odos.

Greek National Road 51

Greek National Road 51 is a single carriageway road in northeastern Greece. It connects the Greek National Road 2 near Feres with the Bulgarian border near Ormenio. The main towns on the GR-51 are Didymoteicho and Orestiada. The entire GR-51 is part of the European route E85. Its length is about 128 km. It runs from south to north, parallel to the river Evros.

Greek National Road 53 is a national highway of Greece. It connects Alexandroupoli with Ormenio on the Bulgarian border, passing through Aisymi, Mikro Dereio, Metaxades and Kyprinos.

Greek National Road 57 is a national highway of Greece. It connects Drama with the Bulgarian border near Exochi, via Prosotsani and Kato Nevrokopi. At the border it is connected with the Bulgarian national road 19 to Gotse Delchev.

Greek National Road 16 is a single carriageway road in northern Greece. It connects Thessaloniki with Ierissos in Chalkidiki. At its beginning in Thessaloniki, it forms the Georgikis Scholis Highway, with three lanes in each direction, passing through one of the city's main commercial districts.
