The A24 motorway is a partial controlled-access highway and limited-access road in northern Greece. The A24 runs from Thessaloniki to Nea Moudania, [1] starting as a short motorway spur from the A2 Egnatia Odos motorway to the junction with the Thessaloniki Inner Ring Road at the neighbourhood of Efkarpia: the A24 continues as a limited-access expressway, following the Inner Ring Road towards Kalamaria, before turning off south towards Nea Moudania and Kallithea on the Chalkidiki peninsula.

A ring road is a road or a series of connected roads encircling a town, city or country. The most common purpose of a ring road is to assist in reducing traffic volumes in the urban centre, such as by offering an alternate route around the city for drivers who do not need to stop in the city core. Ring roads can also serve to connect suburbs to each other, allowing efficient travel between them.
The National Roads and Motorways in Greece constitute the main road network of the country. These two types of roads are distinct in terms of their construction specifications. Their main difference is that motorways adhere to higher quality construction standards than National Roads.

The A1 motorway, also known as the Athens–Thessaloniki–Evzonoi (A.Th.E.) motorway, and formerly the Patras–Athens–Thessaloniki–Evzonoi (P.A.Th.E.) motorway, is the the 2nd longest motorway in Greece with a length of 550 km. It is the principal north–south road connection in Greece, connecting the country's capital Athens with the regions of Thessaly and Macedonia, as well as the country's second largest city, Thessaloniki. It starts from Neo Faliro in Attica and continues north to reach the Evzonoi border station, on the Greek border with North Macedonia.

Nea Moudania (Greek: Νέα Μουδανιά, Néa Moudaniá; often referred to as Moudania, the name of the municipal unit to which the town belongs, is the seat of the municipality of Nea Propontida, Chalkidiki, Greece. The town is 60 km south of Thessaloniki and is the financial and commercial center of Chalkidiki, as well as its most populous town. It was built after 1922 by Greek refugees from Asia Minor who wanted to give the settlement the name of their hometown, hence the addition of the word nea, which means new in Greek. Nea Moudania hosts the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture Technology of the Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki. The town's harbor serves as Thessaloniki's adjuvant.
The Thermaic Gulf, also called the Gulf of Thessaloniki and the Macedonian Gulf, is a gulf constituting the northwest corner of the Aegean Sea. The city of Thessaloniki is at its northeastern tip, and it is bounded by Pieria Imathia and Larissa on the west and the Chalkidiki peninsula on the east, with Cape Kassandra at the southeasternmost corner. It is named after the ancient town of Therma, modern Thessaloniki. It is about 100 km (62 mi) long.

Moudania is a former municipality in Chalkidiki, Greece, named after Mudanya in present Turkey. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Nea Propontida, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 141.464 km2. The seat of the municipality was in Nea Moudania. The area is a popular tourist resort for people from Thessaloniki.
The A2 motorway, also known as the Egnatia Odos, is a tolled controlled-access highway in northern Greece that runs from the western port of Igoumenitsa to the eastern Greek–Turkish border at Kipoi. The entire route is part of the Greek section of the E90 road, which runs from Lisbon, Portugal in the west, and Zakho, Iraq in the east.
National Road 12 is a single carriageway road in northern Greece. It connects Thessaloniki with Kavala, passing through Serres and Drama. It also serves traffic heading towards the north, to the Greek/Bulgarian border. The section between Thessaloniki and Serres forms part of the Ε79 route. Part of the GR-12 has been replaced by the new A25 motorway and the A2 motorway.
The Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki, was a higher education public institute, part of the Greek tertiary education system, specialized on science. As of 2017, there was a student population of 30,000 registered students with more than 430 faculty members and 200 administrative staff. In 2019, the Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki merged with the Technological Educational Institute of Central Macedonia, the Technological Educational Institute of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, and the International Hellenic University in order to form a new university, with the name of the latter.
The Thessaloniki Inner Ring Road is a dual carriageway ring road encircling most of the Thessaloniki Urban Area in Central Macedonia, Greece. Planned in 1975 and put into service in the 1990s, it consists of the Western Ring section, and of the main Inner Ring section. With three lanes per direction it carries over 120.000 cars per day, making it one of the country's most busy highway sections.
Agios Mamas is a village in the Chalkidiki peninsula in northern Greece. It is in the municipal unit of Moudania, within the Municipality of Nea Propontida.
