Keith Mitchell Grenadian politician

Keith Claudius Mitchell is a Grenadian politician who has been Prime Minister of Grenada since 2013; previously he served as Prime Minister from 1995 to 2008. He is the longest-serving Prime Minister Grenada has ever had, holding the office for almost 19 years. Kirani James is a Grenadian sprinter who specializes in the 200 and 400 metres. He won the 400 m at the World Championships in 2011 and the 2012 London Olympics. He is Grenada's first and only Olympic medalist.

Kurt Felix is a Grenadian athlete who competes in the decathlon. He was the NCAA 2012 Division I Decathlon Champion and was named the Mountain West Men's Outdoor Track and Field Student-Athlete of the Year. He competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics and the 2016 Summer Olympics and won the Bronze Medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. On 24–25 July 2017, Kurt participated in the 21st Stadtwerke Ratingen Mehrkampf-meeting which was part of the IAAF Combined Events Challenge. He placed second at the meet with a score of 8509 points and was able to set a meeting record in the Javelin Throw with a distance of 72.80m.

2016 CONCACAF Womens U-17 Championship

The 2016 CONCACAF Women's U-17 Championship was the 5th edition of the CONCACAF Women's U-17 Championship, the biennial international youth football championship organised by CONCACAF for the women's under-17 national teams of the North, Central American and Caribbean region. The tournament was hosted by Grenada and take place between 3–13 March 2016, as announced by CONCACAF on 15 May 2015. A total of eight teams will play in the tournament.

Lindon Victor is a Grenadian athlete who competes in the decathlon. In 2016, he scored 8446 points with nine personal bests at the Southeastern Conference Championship decathlon, breaking both the SEC record and the Grenadian National Record, the latter of which was set by his brother, Kurt Felix, at the 2015 IAAF World Championships. Victor was named 2016 SEC Field Athlete of the Year.

The OECS Track and Field Championships is an annual track and field competition between athletes representing one of the member states of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS). This event started in 1986 and was first held at Queen’s Park, in Grenada. The second was also held in Grenada and thereafter moved around the OECS until 1992. Under the auspices of the OECS Athletics Congress (OAC) the first edition of the revived OECS Track and Field Championships was held in St. Kitts in 2014.
