Metric is a Canadian indie rock band founded in 1998 in Toronto, Ontario. The band consists of Emily Haines, James Shaw, Joshua Winstead and Joules Scott-Key. The band started in 1998 as a duo formed by Haines and Shaw with the name "Mainstream". After releasing an EP titled Mainstream EP, they changed the band's name to Metric.

The band spent a considerable amount of time supporting the latter release through the A Flash Flood of Colour World Tour, before beginning work on a fourth studio album, The Mindsweep, which was released in 2015. Their fifth studio album The Spark was released in 2017. Their sixth album Nothing Is True & Everything Is Possible was released in April 2020. Their seventh and latest album, A Kiss for the Whole World, was released on 21 April 2023 which gave them their first-ever No. 1 album.
Pop Evil is an American rock band that was formed in North Muskegon, Michigan, in 2001 by Leigh Kakaty. The band's roots reside in TenFive, a group formed in the late-1990s by Kakaty and guitarist Jason Reed. Pop Evil has several songs that topped the Billboard Mainstream Rock charts, including "Trenches" and "Waking Lions".

The song was originally released in 2011 as a track from their self-released EP of the same name. It was re-released as its own digital download on 2 June 2013. It peaked at number 42 on the UK Singles Chart. The song took its name from the character in David Lynch and Mark Frost's TV series Twin Peaks.
"Things We Lost in the Fire" is the sixth single by British band Bastille from their debut studio album Bad Blood. The song was released as a 7-inch single and as a digital download on 23 August 2013. It received radio airplay on both BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 2, two of the most popular British national stations. It reached number 28 in the UK Singles Chart on 15 September 2013. The song was featured in an episode of The Vampire Diaries. In September 2014 the song was used as a trailer song for EastEnders. It was also used as a name of a Grey's Anatomy episode in 2015.
"Overjoyed" is a song by the British band Bastille. Released on 27 April 2012, it was the band's first single release through Virgin Records. It was the first single to be taken from their first studio album, Bad Blood. The track was also included in both their 2011 self-released recording, the Laura Palmer EP, and the 2013 US-only release, the Haunt. Due to little promotion, the track failed to chart in the United Kingdom, the only non-charting single from the album.
Charlie Barnes is an English singer and songwriter. He is a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist performing under his own name, and currently as a touring musician with indie rock band Bastille. He has released three albums; the latest, Last Night's Glitter, was released in July 2020.
Bob Moses is a Canadian electronic music duo based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Formed in New York City, the band consists of Tom Howie and Jimmy Vallance. A remix of their song "Tearing Me Up" by RAC won a Grammy Award for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical.
Peter Dougherty, who goes by the stage name Moon Boots, is an American DJ and music producer from Brooklyn, New York.
