The Guildford Giants were a rugby league team based in Guildford, Surrey. They competed in the London and South East Division of the Rugby League Conference from 2009 to 2014.
Guildford Giants were formed in December 2008 and were based at Guildford RUFC. The Giants were initially to participate in the London Merit League, but were given the opportunity to enter the RLC London and South Division after Farnborough Falcons withdrew from the competition. The season included a first ever win against Kent Ravens and ended with a 26 - 24 semi final loss away to Greenwich Admirals.
The 2010 season saw a 2nd place league finish behind Elmbridge Eagles and maiden Grand Final appearance by defeating Southampton Spitfires in the semi-final. The grand final was played in Guildford, but ended with the Greenwich Admirals taking home the title.
In 2011 the Giants moved to the brand new Surrey Sports Park where the Men's team finished 5th just missing out on a play off place. A new minis section was launched with teams from Under 7 to Under 11 and a Ladies team which played a friendly against Southampton.
At the end of the 2014 Season, the club decided to rebrand with a new name (Surrey Sharks RLFC), new logo and new management team. The new club is based at Surrey Sports Park in Guildford

He was inducted into the U.S. National Soccer Hall of Fame in 1986.
The Surrey Cup is an annual rugby union knock-out club competition organized by the Surrey Rugby Football Union. The original cup competition was first played for back in 1890, the inaugural winners being Lennox, but was discontinued in 1909, having been held intermittently over 20 seasons, due to cup competitions being considerable 'undesirable'. The cup was reintroduced around 50 years later for the 1970–71 season, with the first winners of the modern competition being Guildford & Godalming. It is the most important rugby union cup competition in Surrey, ahead of the Surrey Trophy, Surrey Shield and Surrey Bowl.

The division is made up of teams predominantly from south-west London, Surrey, and Hampshire. The 12 teams play home and away matches from September through to April. Each year all clubs in the division are also invited to take part in the RFU Intermediate Cup - a level 7 national competition.

When this division began in 1987 it was known as London 2 South, changing to London 1 South ahead of the 2009–10 season. It was the feeder league for London & South East Premier into which the champion team each season is promoted. The second-placed team entered a play-off against the runner-up of London 1 North. Three teams were relegated into either London 2 South East and London 2 South West depending on their location.
The South East Men's League is a division within rugby league's tier 4 and was previously a division of the Rugby League Conference. At the division is competed for by teams in the South East of England including London.
Hampshire Premier is an English level 9 Rugby Union league for teams based in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. Up until the 2017–18 season it was known as Hampshire 1 but was changed to Hampshire Premier due to restructuring of the Hampshire leagues, which would see the re-introduction of a third division as well as 2nd and 3rd XV sides joining for the first time. Each year some of the clubs in this division also take part in the RFU Junior Vase - a level 9-12 national competition.

Surrey 1 is a level 9 English Rugby Union League. It is made up of teams predominantly from Surrey and south-west London. Teams play home and away matches from September through to April. Promoted teams move up to London 3 South West with the league winners going straight up and the runners up playing against the runners up from Hampshire Premier. Relegated teams drop to Surrey 2.
The Rugby Football League Women's Super League is the elite women's rugby league club competition in England. Originally competed between four teams in the 2017 season, the league has developed with the 2023 season being contested by 12 teams playing home and away against each other in two groups with subsequent play-offs and Grand Final.
