Boys' artistic gymnastics qualification at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics was held at the Nanjing Olympic Sports Centre on August 17. [1] The results of the qualification determined the qualifiers to the finals: 18 gymnasts in the all-around final, and 8 gymnasts in each of 4 apparatus finals.
Note: On vault, the rankings are determined by the score of their first vault, the vault that counts toward their all-around total. Qualification into the vault final is based on the average of two vaults.

Dorina Böczögő is a Hungarian artistic gymnast who competed at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. She was a member of the team who won bronze at the 2020 European Championships.
Aliya Farkhatovna Mustafina is a retired Russian artistic gymnast and current coach. She is the 2010 all-around world champion, the 2013 European all around champion, the 2012 and 2016 Olympic uneven bars champion, and a seven-time Olympic medalist.
Larisa Andreea Iordache is a Romanian artistic gymnast. She is the current leader of the Romanian women's artistic gymnastics team, and represented Romania at the 2012 and 2020 Olympic Games.
Phan Thị Hà Thanh is a former Vietnamese artistic gymnast from Haiphong and a two-time Olympian. She became the first gymnast to win a world medal for Vietnam, capturing the bronze on vault at the 2011 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships.
Ruby Esther Harrold is a British artistic gymnast who was a member of the British Olympic team for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Harrold was also a reserve athlete for the 2012 Summer Olympics team. She was a member of the British team that won the bronze medal in the team final at the 2015 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. Following her retirement from elite gymnastics after the 2016 Summer Olympics, Harrold became a member of the LSU Tigers gymnastics team, having received a full athletic scholarship to attend Louisiana State University, beginning Fall of 2016.
Oleg Yuriyovych Vernyayev is a Ukrainian artistic gymnast. He is the 2016 Olympic parallel bars champion and individual all-around silver medalist. Vernyayev is also the 2014 World parallel bars champion, the 2015 European individual all-around champion and the 2017 European individual all-around champion.
Seda Gurgenovna Tutkhalyan is a Russian artistic gymnast. She is the 2014 Youth Olympic Games Individual All-around champion and a 2016 Summer Olympics Team silver medalist.
Claudia Fragapane is a British artistic gymnast. She came to prominence at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, where she was the first English woman to win four gold medals since 1930. In 2015, Fragapane was part of the women's gymnastics team that won Great Britain's first-ever team medal, a bronze, at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. She competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
Finland competed at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics with a team of 8 boys and 6 girls, winning one bronze medal.
Rebeca Rodrigues de Andrade is a Brazilian artistic gymnast and two-time Olympian, having represented Brazil at the 2016 and 2020 Olympic Games. She is the 2020 vault Olympic champion, the 2020 All-Around Olympic silver medalist, 2021 Pan American champion, and was a member of the teams who won gold at the 2021 Pan American Championships and silver at the 2018 Pan American Championships. Andrade is the first Brazilian women's artistic gymnast to medal at an Olympic Games and the first Olympic all-around medalist who qualified as an individual.
Nikita Vladimirovich Nagornyy is a Russian artistic gymnast and two-time Olympian, representing Russia in 2016 and ROC in 2020. He was part of the teams who won gold at the 2020 Olympic Games and 2019 World Championships and silver at the 2016 Olympic Games and 2018 World Championships.
Sae Miyakawa is a Japanese artistic gymnast. She represented Japan at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics and won a bronze medal on the vault. She also competed at the 2015 World Championships where she finished fourth on the floor exercise and at the 2017 World Championships where she finished eighth on the vault. She was a member of the team that won a gold medal at the 2015 Asian Championships, and individually, she won the silver medal on the vault and the bronze medal on the floor exercise. She also represented Japan at the 2016 Summer Olympics.
The Girl's vault event final for the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics took place on the 23rd of August at the Nanjing Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium.
Shek Wai Hung is an artistic gymnast from Hong Kong. He is the current Asian Games champion on vault.
Loan Válerie His is a retired French female artistic gymnast. She represented France at the 2016 Summer Olympics and helped the French team finish eleventh. She won a bronze medal with the French team at the 2016 European Championships. She also competed at the 2015 World Championships.
Qualification for men's artistic gymnastics competitions at the 2020 Summer Olympics was held at the Ariake Gymnastics Centre on 24 July 2021. The results of the qualification determined the qualifiers to the finals: 8 teams in the team final, 24 gymnasts in the all-around final, and 8 gymnasts in each of six apparatus finals. The competition was divided into three subdivisions.
The men's vault event at the 2020 Summer Olympics was held on 24 July and 2 August 2021 at the Ariake Gymnastics Centre. Unlike the other apparatus events, vault requires gymnasts to perform two exercises in order for results to count towards the vault final; most of the gymnasts perform only one or none. Approximately 20 gymnasts from 15 nations competed two vaults in the qualifying round.
