Hamish Gaman (born 20 April 1983) [1] is an English former competitive pair skater. With partner Caitlin Yankowskas, he is the 2015 Challenge Cup silver medalist and 2015 British national champion. Since 2018, he has appeared on the ITV series Dancing on Ice .
Gaman competed with Rebecca Collett in the 2003–04 season. They appeared at one ISU Junior Grand Prix event, placing 11th, and at the 2004 World Junior Championships, where they finished 14th. In 2007, he teamed up with Vanessa James but she ended the partnership in January 2008 to skate for France. [2] [3] He then worked as a coach in the U.K. [4]
In May 2013, Gaman formed a partnership with American skater Caitlin Yankowskas, coached by Johnny Johns and Marina Zueva in Canton, Michigan. [5] Representing the United Kingdom, they earned minimum technical scores at the 2013 Ice Challenge. [6] The pair went on to take the bronze medal at the 2014 British Championships. [7] In mid-February 2014, they moved to Boston and began training under Bobby Martin and Carrie Wall at the Skating Club of Boston. [8] [5] After spending part of June 2014 in Montreal, coached by Bruno Marcotte and Richard Gauthier, the pair decided to move there in July. [9] At the 2015 European Championships in Stockholm, Yankowskas/Gaman placed seventh in the short program, 14th in the free skate, and ninth overall.
On September 10, 2015, Yankowskas and Gaman announced their retirements from competitive figure skating due to lack of funding. [10]
In 2018, Gaman joined the cast of the ITV competition series Dancing on Ice as a professional skater. In series 10, his celebrity partner was Olympic athlete Perri Shakes-Drayton. They were eliminated on 28 January 2018, after a skate-off with Lemar and Melody Le Moal. In the eleventh series, he was partnered with singer Saara Aalto. [11] They finished in third place after making it into the final. [11]
For the twelfth series, Gaman was partnered with model and actress Caprice Bourret. [12] After their first performance, Oscar Peter replaced Gaman as her partner but Gaman continued to appear in group performances on the show. Deciding to withdraw in mid-February, Gaman stated, "The past three and a half months have been the worst of my life, and I'm struggling." He said that "untrue stories are continually being fed to the press by a 'source'." [13]
Gaman became engaged to Amelia Humfress in March 2020. [14] [15] [16]

Edith "Didi" Conn is an American actress. She is best known for her work as Frenchy in Grease, Denise Stevens Downey in Benson and Stacy Jones in Shining Time Station.
John Patrick Coughlin was an American pair skater. With Caydee Denney, he was the 2012 Four Continents silver medalist and 2012 U.S. national champion. With previous partner Caitlin Yankowskas, he was the 2011 U.S. champion. Coughlin died by suicide, one day after the United States Center for SafeSport announced he would face an interim temporary suspension over unspecified allegations.
Bruno Marcotte is a Canadian figure skating coach and former competitor in pairs. He is the 1993 World Junior bronze medallist with Isabelle Coulombe and the 2000 Nebelhorn Trophy champion with Valérie Marcoux.

They are the 2015 Challenge Cup silver medalists and 2015 British national champions.
Joshua Reagan is an American pair skater. Competing for Canada with Brittany Jones, he is the 2016 U.S. International Classic champion. The 2015–16 figure skating season began on July 1, 2015, and ended on June 30, 2016. During this season, elite skaters competed at the 2016 European Championships, Four Continents Championships, World Junior Championships, and World Championships. They also competed at elite events such as the Grand Prix series and Junior Grand Prix series, culminating at the Grand Prix Final, and the Challenger Series.
The ISU Challenger Series is a series of international figure skating competitions. Established by the International Skating Union in the 2014–15 season, it is a group of senior-level events ranked below the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating.
