Harold Fannin Jr. (born July 20, 2004) is an American college football tight end for the Bowling Green Falcons.
Fannin grew up in Canton, Ohio and attended McKinley High School. [2] He was named first-team All-Ohio as a senior at defensive back after making 106 tackles with two interceptions, six forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, and two defensive touchdowns and was also an All-Federal League selection on offense after catching 36 passes for 601 yards and six touchdowns. [3] Fannin committed to play college football at Bowling Green. [4]
Fannin caught 19 passes for 218 yards and one touchdown during his freshman season with the Bowling Green Falcons. [5] [6] He was named first-team All-Mid-American Conference (MAC) at the end of his sophomore season after finishing the year with 44 receptions for 623 yards and six touchdowns. [7]
In 2024, Fannin was named to the preseason John Mackey Award watchlist. [8] In the season opening victory over Fordham, he hauled in six receptions for 67 yards. The following week against Penn State, Fannin caught a then career-high 11 passes for 137 yards and one touchdown. Following a bye week, he amassed 145 yards on eight catches and a touchdown against Texas A&M in week four. For his strong performance he was named John Mackey and MAC Offensive Player of the Week. [9] [10] In week five, Fannin set a career-high with 12 receptions and 193 receiving yards in a loss against Old Dominion. He also set a school record for single game receiving yards by a tight end, passing Mark Dowdell's 1983 record of 175 yards. His two touchdowns also broke Bowling Green's career record for receiving touchdowns by a tight end. For the third consecutive game, Fannin surpassed his career high in receiving yards. For the second consecutive week he was named John Mackey and MAC Offensive Player of the Week. [11] The following week against Akron, Fannin had nine receptions for 135 yards and a game winning 31-yard touchdown run. He was named MAC Offensive Player of the week for the third consecutive week. [12] In game seven against Kent State, Fannin had ten receptions for 171 yards. In the victory, he surpassed Alex Bayer to become the tight end with the most receiving yards in program history. He was also named John Mackey Player of the Week for the third time. In the regular season, Fannin had seven 100-yard performances in the twelve games he played. He led the MAC in receptions and receiving yards. He was named first team All-MAC for the second consecutive season. Fannin was named a finalist for the John Mackey award, where he led all tight ends in receptions, yards and touchdowns. Fannin became the program's first Consensus All-American, earning first-team All-America status at the Walter Camp Football Foundation, the American Football Coaches Association, and the Associated Press. He also received his fourth first-team nod from the Football Writers Association of America at the wide-receiver position. [13]
On December 30, 2024, Fannin announced via his Instagram that he was officially declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft. [14]

Charles Dunbar Sharon is a former American football wide receiver who played for the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League (NFL). He was originally signed by the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent in 2006. He played college football at the Bowling Green.
The 2008 Bowling Green Falcons football team represented Bowling Green State University during the 2008 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The team's head football coach was Gregg Brandon. The Falcons played their home games at Doyt Perry Stadium in Bowling Green, Ohio. They were a member of the East Division of the Mid-American Conference. They finished the season 6–6, 4–4 in MAC play to finish in a tie for second place in the East Division. Despite being bowl eligible, they were not selected to participate in a bowl game.

The 2013 Bowling Green Falcons football team represented Bowling Green State University in the 2013 NCAA Division I FBS football season. Through the 2013 MAC Championship Game, the Falcons were led by fifth-year head coach Dave Clawson. On December 10, Clawson left to become the new head coach at Wake Forest; the school named special teams coordinator Adam Scheier as interim head coach for the 2013 Little Caesars Pizza Bowl.

The 2015 Bowling Green Falcons football team represented Bowling Green State University in the 2015 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Falcons played their home games at Doyt Perry Stadium. They were led by second-year head coach Dino Babers and were members of the East Division of the Mid-American Conference. They finished the season 10–4, 7–1 in MAC play to be champions of the East Division. They represented the East Division in the MAC Championship where they defeated Northern Illinois to become MAC champions. They were invited to the GoDaddy Bowl where they lost to Georgia Southern.

The 2016 Western Michigan Broncos football team represented Western Michigan University (WMU) in the 2016 NCAA Division I FBS football season. They were led by fourth-year head coach P. J. Fleck and played their home games at Waldo Stadium as a member of the West Division of the Mid-American Conference (MAC). The Broncos completed their regular season undefeated and won the MAC West Division title. The Broncos finished conference play defeating the Ohio Bobcats 29–23 in the 2016 MAC Championship Game, winning the school's first MAC championship title since 1988. WMU received an invitation to the 2017 Cotton Bowl as the highest rated Group of Five team in the College Football Playoff (CFP). It was the first major-bowl appearance in school history. The Broncos also won 10 games in a season for the first time in their 111-year football history. They lost to the No. 8 Wisconsin Badgers in the New Years Six bowl game, 24–16.

The 2024 Mid-American Conference football season was the 79th season for the Mid-American Conference (MAC), as part of the 2024 NCAA Division I FBS football season. Non-conference play began on August 29. Conference began on September 21 and concluded with the MAC championship game on December 7 at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. For the first time since 1996, the MAC did not have divisions. The Championship game featured the two teams with the best conference records. This was the conference's last season with 12 members as in 2025. it will see its first change in membership since 2015 with the addition of UMass.
