Harrisina is a genus of moths of the family Zygaenidae.
The Zygaenidae moths are a family of Lepidoptera. The majority of zygaenids are tropical, but they are nevertheless quite well represented in temperate regions. Some of the 1000 or so species are commonly known as burnet or forester moths, often qualified by the number of spots, although other families also have 'foresters'. They are also sometimes called smoky moths.
Cisthene is a genus of lichen moths in the family Erebidae. The genus was erected by Francis Walker in 1854.
Euchaetes is a genus of moths in the family Erebidae. It was described by Thaddeus William Harris in 1841.
Pseudohemihyalea is a genus of moths in the family Erebidae described by Régo Barros in 1956. While the caterpillars of most species of Pseudohemihyalea feed on broad-leaved trees, the P. ambigua group has larvae that feed on conifers. Their forewing coloration has accordingly evolved to light-and-dark lengthwise striping, giving better camouflage among the slim needles of the host plants. In this, they seem to be convergent to certain geometer moths, such as Caripeta piniata or Sabulodes niveostriata.
Pyrausta is a speciose genus of moths of the family Crambidae. The genus was erected by Franz von Paula Schrank in 1802.
Acontia is a genus of moths of the family Noctuidae. The genus was named by Ferdinand Ochsenheimer in 1816. Eusceptis, Pseudalypia and Spragueia are sometimes included in the present genus, but here they are tentatively treated as different pending further research. Many species of Tarache were also once placed here.
Chalcopasta is a genus of owlet moths in the family Noctuidae. There are about nine described species in Chalcopasta.
Chrysoecia is a genus of owlet moths in the family Noctuidae. There are about eight described species in Chrysoecia.
Cucullia is a genus of moths of the family Noctuidae. The genus was erected by Franz von Paula Schrank in 1802.
Grotella is a genus of moths of the family Noctuidae first described by Leon F. Harvey in 1875.
Hexorthodes is a genus of moths of the family Noctuidae.
Lacinipolia is a moth genus in the family Noctuidae.
Ponometia is a genus of moths of the family Noctuidae. The genus was erected by Gottlieb August Wilhelm Herrich-Schäffer in 1868.
Tarache is a genus of moths of the family Noctuidae erected by Jacob Hübner. It includes most former New World Acontia species. Lepidoptera and Some Other Life Forms and The Global Lepidoptera Names Index report this name as a synonym of Acontia.
Tarachidia was a genus of moths of the family Noctuidae, it is now considered a synonym of Ponometia.
Hydriomena is a genus of moths in the family Geometridae described by Jacob Hübner in 1825.
