Harrison High School (also known as Farmington Harrison) was a four-year secondary institution located in Farmington Hills, Michigan. It was part of the Farmington Public School District serving students from the cities of Farmington, Farmington Hills, and a portion of West Bloomfield Township.
The school closed in 2019, with the district citing declining enrollment. It was later sold to the City of Farmington Hills, which repurposed it as The Hawk Farmington Hills Community Center, named in tribute after the school's mascot.
Harrison High School opened in September 1970 with Freshman, Sophomore and Junior classes. The Juniors were the first graduating class in June 1972. The school is named for Gerald V. Harrison who was superintendent of Farmington Public Schools from 1957 to 1967, a period of dramatic growth in the school district. Harrison was the third high school in the district, and the only one with a Freshman class.
In March 2016, the Farmington school board announced that the school was to close at the end of the 2018-2019 academic year, citing lower student populations in the city of Farmington Hills. [3] [4] The school building was purchased by the city and developed into a recreation and performing arts center named The Hawk in tribute to the school. Construction began in fall 2019 and the center opened on June 7, 2021. [5] [6]
Starting in the 2013-2014 school year, students had the opportunity to take IB classes at Harrison High School. Prior to this, students wishing to obtain an IB diploma had to attend the International Academy in Bloomfield Hills. [7]

The University of Detroit Jesuit High School and Academy was founded in 1877, and is one of two Jesuit high schools in the city of Detroit, Michigan, the other being Loyola High School. West Bloomfield High School is a public high school in West Bloomfield, Michigan. The school is the only public high school in the West Bloomfield School District. The School Enrollment for the 2010-2011 school year is about 1900. West Bloomfield High School was previously located in the Abbott Middle School building, which opened on January 31, 1955 with an enrollment of 406. From fall 1968 through spring 1971, the school was temporarily located at the site of the current West Bloomfield Middle School. The current building was built in 1971. West Bloomfield High School has begun to offer the Advanced Placement International Diploma to the classes of 2011 and beyond. In addition, it established additional Advanced Placement courses starting the 2010-2011 school year.
Lahser High School was a high school in Bloomfield Township, Oakland County, Michigan, near Bloomfield Hills and in Greater Detroit. It was a part of Bloomfield Hills Schools. The school was opened in 1967. At the time it had 200 students, and enrollment later reached almost 900 students. In 2010, the decision was made to merge the school with sister school Andover High School, on Andover's grounds. In 2020, it was decided that the Lahser campus would become the site of Bloomfield Hills Middle School North following a successful bond proposal. The football program had five consecutive playoff-eligible seasons, 2002–2006, in both class 3 and class 2 MHSAA competition.
North Farmington High School is a public high school located in Farmington Hills, Michigan. The school was established in 1961 and educates a student body of approximately 1,300. The principal is Joseph Greene.
The Catholic High School League (CHSL) is a school athletic conference based in Detroit, Michigan, led by director Victor Michaels. Most member schools are also members of the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA), the governing body for Michigan scholastic sports, except for the five schools from Toledo, which are members of the Ohio High School Athletic Association. Unlike many similar leagues, the CHSL governs secondary, middle, and elementary sports for most of the parochial schools in the Detroit area. Most league schools are Catholic, but there are other religious denominations as well. Every school in the CHSL is a private school. In 2019, the CHSL council voted to rename the AB/ Division I/II championship to the Bishop division championship, and the CD/ Division III/IV championship to the Cardinal Division championship.
