Hyala vitrea is a species of small sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk or micromollusk in the family Iravadiidae. [1]

Contents

Previously, Hyala vitrea was considered as a species of Onoba (Rissoidae). [1]

Description

The shell size varies between 1 and 4 mm (0.039 and 0.157 in).

Distribution

It is found in European waters, in the Mediterranean Sea and in the Black Sea.

Ecology

The species is a grazer and deposit feeder. [1]
