IIS University, officially IIS (Deemed to be University), is a private higher education institute deemed to be university, located in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. [1] Formerly International College for Girls (ICG), it was conferred the deemed university status in 2009. [2]

Ratan Shastri was a strong pillar of Parajamandal Movement in Jaipur state during the Indian national Movement. She was a champion of female education and started a women school, that later developed into a university, that contributed immensely to encourage and support female education in Rajasthan. She was a staunch adherent of Gandhian ideals and promoted Khadi.

Devarshi Kala Nath Shastry was born on 15 July 1936. He is a Sanskrit scholar honoured by the President of India in 1988. He is an Indologist and a prolific writer of Sanskrit, Hindi and English, and a well-known linguist, who has contributed to the campaign of evolving technical terminology in Indian languages and ensuring a respectable status to Hindi, the official language of his state and the Indian union.

The first case of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Indian state of Rajasthan was reported on 2 March 2020 in Jaipur. The Rajasthan Health Department has confirmed a total of 29,835 cases, including 563 deaths and 21866 recoveries as of 20 July 2020. All districts in the state have reported confirmed cases of which, Jaipur is the worst-affected.

Dahmi Kalan is a village in Sanganer Sub District of Jaipur District in Rajasthan State of India. Sanganer in one of the 13 Sub divisions of Jaipur district. In Sanganer Tehsil there are 147 villages and Dahmi Kalan is one of them.
