Rajasthan University of Health Sciences is a State university located in Pink City Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. It was established on 25 February 2005 under The Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (Act of Rajasthan Vidhan Sabha), 2005 (Act No. 1 of 2005) and started functioning in January 2006. [2] It has its own college and acts as affiliating university to all Government & Society run [Also supports them in academic and research purposes] [2] and some privately run medical colleges in Rajasthan.
In 2005, Rajasthan Vidhan Sabha passed the act which replaced Rajasthan University as affiliating university to Government medical colleges in the western state of Rajasthan. Dr. P. P. S. Mathur, Senior Professor, Neurosurgery and Medical Superintendent, Sawai Man Singh Hospital, Jaipur served as the first Vice-Chancellor of the university. He was succeeded by Dr. Ashok Panagariya. It established its own university college in the year 2014 which goes by the same name. Earlier it functioned only as affiliating university.

The Gandhara University is a private university located in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. It is chartered by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Gandhara University was the first private medical university of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It provides specialized training in the health sciences. The institutes that became Gandhara University were initially founded in October 1995 by surgeon Muhammad Kabir. University is recognized by the Higher Education Commission (Pakistan) and accredited by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council. It is also affiliated with the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan for postgraduate dental courses.
Master's degrees in pharmacy comprise both postgraduate and integrated master's programs in pharmacy, the latter of which comprises both undergraduate and postgraduate coursework and typically takes four to five years to complete.
Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Ajmer is a government medical college located in Ajmer (Rajasthan), India. Established in 1965, it is one of six government-run medical colleges in the western state of Rajasthan, and the fourth to be established in the state. It is affiliated with RUHS, and provides education leading to the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree and the MS/MD/DM degrees. It also offers diplomas and other degrees in medical disciplines. Before the establishment of RUHS, in 2005, it was affiliated with Rajasthan University. It publishes the Ajaymeru Journal of Medical Education and Research (AJMER).
The Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram is in Thiruvananthapuram, India. Founded in 1951, it was inaugurated by Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and is Kerala's first ever Medical College.

Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University is a university in Ga-Rankuwa, Gauteng Province, South Africa. Its current incarnation was formed on 1 January 2015. Previously it was known as Medical University of South Africa (MEDUNSA) and later as a campus of the University of Limpopo. It is named after South African ANC leader Sefako Makgatho.
