Idol 2019 was the fifteenth season of the Swedish Idol series. [1] [2]

It was confirmed on the 30 November 2018 semifinal of Idol 2018, that the series would return again on TV4. [3]

Top 20

New to this season

Something new to this season in the weekly finals was that the jury could use a lifeline that meant they could save an act who'd been eliminated from the competition a particular week, but they could only use this once and only during the first seven weeks. [4] In the end, the jury did not enact the lifeline.

It has been presented by actor Amitabh Bachchan since its inception, except for during the third season, which was presented by actor Shah Rukh Khan. The programme aired on Star Plus for its first three seasons from 2000 to 2007, and was commissioned by the programming team of Sameer Nair. Måns Petter Albert Sahlén Zelmerlöw is a Swedish pop singer and television presenter. He took part in Idol 2005, eventually finishing fifth, won the first season of Let's Dance, and scored a hit with his 2007 song "Cara Mia", which was his entry in that year's Melodifestivalen. Zelmerlöw was the host of Allsång på Skansen from 2011 to 2013. He participated in Melodifestivalen in 2007, 2009 and won in 2015. <i>Survivor</i> (American TV series) American TV reality series

Survivor is the American version of the international Survivor reality competition television franchise, itself derived from the Swedish television series Expedition Robinson created by Charlie Parsons which premiered in 1997. The American series premiered on May 31, 2000, on CBS. It is hosted by Jeff Probst, who is also an executive producer along with Mark Burnett and the original creator, Parsons.

Idol 2009 was the sixth season of the Swedish idol series and was broadcast by TV 4. The jury, identical to the previous year, consisted of Anders Bagge, Laila Bagge and Andreas Carlsson. Peter Jihde, the show's host, was also a continuation of the previous year's cast. The audition cities visited during the spring of 2009 were Gothenburg, Gävle, Malmö, Stockholm and Umeå, respectively. Around 11,000 people applied for Idol 2009, establishing a new Swedish record.

The seventeenth season of the American reality television show The Voice premiered on September 23, 2019, on NBC. John Legend, Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton returned as coaches for their second, fourth, and seventeenth seasons, respectively. Gwen Stefani, who last coached in the twelfth season in 2017, returned after a four season-hiatus, replacing Adam Levine. Idol 2020 was the sixteenth season of the Swedish Idol series. Like earlier seasons, the season was broadcast on TV4. New for this year is that one person got to audition for this season already during the final of Idol 2019 in Globen, Rebecka Assio made it through to the final audition in Stockholm.

Idol 2021 was the seventeenth season of the Swedish Idol series. The show will be broadcast on TV4 and starts on 23 August 2021. Judge member Nikki Amini left the show after the sixteenth season.
