The 3rd district of the Iowa Senate, located in Northwestern Iowa, is currently composed of Buena Vista County, Osceola County, O'Brien County and parts of Cherokee County and Clay County. [1] Its current member of the Iowa Senate is Republican Lynn Evans.
Republican Lynn Evans has been the senator representing the 3rd District since 2023.

The Iowa Senate is the upper house of the Iowa General Assembly, United States. There are 50 seats in the Iowa Senate, representing 50 single-member districts across the state of Iowa with populations of approximately 60,927 per constituency, as of the 2010 United States census. Each Senate district is composed of two House districts. The Senate meets at the Iowa State Capitol in Des Moines.
Staci Lynn Appel is an American politician from the U.S. state of Iowa. She served in the Iowa Senate as the Assistant Majority Leader from 2007 to 2011 representing the 37th district. A Democrat, in 2014 she unsuccessfully ran for a seat in the United States House of Representatives for Iowa's 3rd congressional district.
Robert P. "Rob" Bacon is a Republican politician and former legislator from the state of Iowa. He was elected to the Iowa House of Representatives in 2012 to represent the 48th district. He was previously elected to the Iowa Senate in 2010 to represent District 5, which serves Wright, Hamilton, and Story Counties. Bacon was born in Chicago and his hometown is Maxwell, Iowa.

They have two children and four grandchildren.
