Irene Dwomoh (born 1986) is a Ghanaian model and beauty pageant titleholder who named Miss Ghana 2006 [1] and represented Ghana in Miss World 2007 in China where she won the talent competition [2] and got a fast track to the semi-finals. She studied Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Cape Coast. [1]

It was the first time the Miss World pageant was held in the Seychelles. She became the third Indian woman to win Miss World since Reita Faria in 1966 and Aishwarya Rai in 1994.

It was the first time in Southeast Asia and it also was the first time in the pageant's history that the event was held in a Muslim majority country. Contestants from 127 countries and territories competed in this year's Miss World pageant, marking the biggest turnout for any beauty pageant globally as of 2023. Yu Wenxia of China crowned her successor Megan Young of the Philippines at the end of the event, marking the only time to date that the Philippines has won the Miss World title.
