Vivian Charlott Burkhardt (born January 24, 1986) is a Grenadian model and beauty pageant titleholder who represnted her country at Miss World 2007 in Sanya, China where she placed as one of the semi-finalists. [1] Having graduated from The TA Marryshow Community College with an associate degree in Natural Science, she has completed her studies as a pre-med student at St. George's University. She received her bachelor's degree in Basic Medical Science, and completed her MD at St. George's University.

Vivian, who is half Grenadian and half German, was born in Germany and moved to the island of Grenada when she was 15 years old. She is fluent in German and English and knows some French. Among her major interests are alternative energy and the environment.

Miss Grenada World 2007

Grenada won Miss World 1970 with Jennifer Hosten. On April 2, 2007 at Saint George's, in Grenada, in a pageant produced by Mrs. Hosten, Vivian Charlott Burkhardt was crowned Miss Grenada World 2007:

The announcement was made before an audience at the G.B.S.S. Hon, Brenda Hood, Minister for Tourism and the Performing Arts, performed the official crowning ceremony.

Vivian also won two special awards: Miss Fitness and People's Choice.

Event of Miss World 2007

Grenada last participated in Miss World 1996 when Aria Johnson competed in India and the Seychelles.

Vivian represented Grenada at Miss World Contest in China in November 2007, together with 105 other contestants from all over the world. She placed among the top 16 semi-finalists. Earlier she had been named among the top 21 finalists for Miss World Beach Beauty fast-track event.

Personal life

Vivian Burkhardt, has spent some time with Lewis Hamilton, an F1 driver for Mercedes. The couple spent time at Cannes where Vivian appeared on covers of magazines where she walked on the famed Red Carpet. [2] After this period, she returned to the Caribbean for some family commitments.

Jennifer Hosten is a Grenadian radio announcer, development worker, diplomat, author, model and beauty queen who won the Miss World 1970 contest, representing Grenada. She became the first black woman and the first woman from her country to win the title. The whole contest had been controversial even before the result had been announced. Afterwards allegations were made about the influence of the Prime Minister of Grenada, who was on the judging panel.

All contestants competed in three "fast track" events, Beach Beauty, Miss Talent, and Beauty With a Purpose contests. The winner of each competition immediately became one of the fifteen pageant semi-finalists. She became the third Icelandic woman to win Miss World.

The Miss New York scholarship competition selects the representative for the state of New York in the Miss America scholarship competition.

Miss Hong Kong 2007 pageant, the 35th Miss Hong Kong pageant was held in the Hong Kong Coliseum on 21 July 2007. Sixteen delegates competed for the title. Contestant #3: Kayi Cheung was crowned the winner by outgoing titleholder, Aimee Chan.

Miss Vietnam World is a beauty contest for both Vietnamese women in Vietnam and Overseas Vietnamese women from other countries in the world. The pageant is related to Miss World Vietnam but not to the Miss Vietnam pageants. The contest was first held in 2007, and the next was held in August 2010.

The 14th Nuestra Belleza México pageant, was held at the Auditorio "Profr. Manuel Bonilla Valle" of Manzanillo, Colima, Mexico on October 6, 2007. Shefali Sood was crowned as Miss Supranational India 2019 by her predecessor, Aditi Hundia and she represented India at Miss Supranational 2019 held in Poland. Also, Varun Verma was selected as India's representative at the Mister Supranational 2019 contest.
