Izatullah Safi (born 8 June 1978) is a cricket umpire from Afghanistan. [1] He stood in his first One Day International (ODI) match between Afghanistan and Ireland on 7 December 2017. [2] His Twenty20 International (T20I) umpiring debut, on 6 February 2018, was in a match between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe. [3]

The Afghanistan men's national cricket team represents Afghanistan in international cricket. Cricket has been played in Afghanistan since the mid-19th century, but it was only in the early 21st century that the national team began to enjoy success. The Afghanistan Cricket Board was formed in 1995 and became an affiliate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 2001 and a member of the cricket confederation, Asian Cricket Council (ACC) in 2003. After nearly a decade of playing international cricket, on 22 June 2017 full ICC Membership was granted to Afghanistan. Alongside Ireland, this took the number of Test cricket playing nations to twelve. Afghanistan is the first country to achieve Full Member status after holding Affiliate Membership of the ICC. Following this, the team moved to a new home ground in Dehradun, northern India. The current home ground of the Afghanistan Men's Cricket team is BRSABV Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, India.

Mohammad Yamin Ahmadzai is an Afghan cricketer. Ahmadzai is a right-handed batsman who bowls right-arm medium-fast. He was born in Laghman Province. He was one of the eleven cricketers to play in Afghanistan's first ever Test match, against India, in June 2018, and took Afghanistan's first wicket in Test cricket.

Solomon Farai Mire is a Zimbabwean former cricketer. An all-rounder, Mire represented Zimbabwe at international level in Tests, One Day Internationals (ODIs) and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) before announcing his retirement from international cricket in July 2019. Known for quick scoring, Mire usually opened the batting in ODIs and bowled medium pace. He also played for the Melbourne Renegades in the Australian Big Bash League.

Rokhan Barakzai or Rokan Barekzai is an Afghan cricketer. His Twenty20 International (T20I) debut was against Hong Kong, and his One Day International (ODI) debut against Zimbabwe, in November 2015 and December 2015, respectively. Barekzai was named as the best bowler of the 2014 Shpageeza T20 Cricket Tournament. He made his first-class debut for Band-e-Amir Region in the 2017–18 Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament on 20 October 2017.

Zahir Khan is an Afghan cricketer. He made his Test match debut for Afghanistan in September 2019. He made his first-class debut for Afghanistan against Papua New Guinea in the 2015–17 ICC Intercontinental Cup on 21 November 2015. He played for the Afghanistan U-19 team in the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.

Ihsanullah is an Afghan cricketer who plays as a right-handed opening batsman. He made his first-class debut for Afghanistan against the Netherlands in the 2015–17 ICC Intercontinental Cup on 29 July 2016. Prior to his first-class debut, he captained the Afghanistan U-19 team in the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He made his Test cricket debut in March 2019. Ihsanullah is the younger brother of former Afghanistan captain Nawroz Mangal.

Ahmed Shah Durrani is a cricket umpire from Afghanistan. He officiated in his first Twenty20 International (T20I) match, between the United Arab Emirates and Afghanistan, on 14 December 2016. He stood in his first One Day International (ODI) match between Afghanistan and Ireland on 17 March 2017. As of March 2023, he had officiated in 7 ODIs and 14 T20Is.

Hazratullah Zazai is an Afghan cricketer. He made his international debut for the Afghanistan cricket team in December 2016. In February 2019, he scored an unbeaten 162 runs off 62 balls against Ireland, which is the highest individual score by an Afghan batsman in a Twenty20 International.

Iknow Chabi is a Zimbabwean cricket umpire. He has officiated in matches in the 2016–17 Logan Cup and the 2016–17 Pro50 Championship tournaments.

Ainsley Ndlovu is a Zimbabwean cricketer. He made his international debut for the Zimbabwe cricket team in June 2019.

The Zimbabwe cricket team toured the United Arab Emirates to play the Afghanistan cricket team in February 2018 to play two Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) and five One Day International (ODI) matches. Initial reports suggested that it would include Afghanistan's first Test match since being awarded Test status by the International Cricket Council in June 2017, but instead the tour consisted of just limited overs matches. An official from Zimbabwe Cricket said that both sides were still in talks to play a Test match, but that would be at some point after the 2018 Cricket World Cup Qualifier.

Bismillah Jan Shinwari is an Afghan cricket umpire. He has stood in matches in the 2017 Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One Day Tournament and the 2017–18 Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament in Afghanistan.

Neil Alan Rock is an Irish cricketer. Rock made his international debut for the Ireland cricket team in August 2021.

Shiju Sam Mannil is an Indian-born international cricket umpire based in the United Arab Emirates. He was named the best umpire at the Shyam Bhatia Awards in Dubai in both 2018 and 2019.
