Nimali Perera (born 13 December 1990) is a Sri Lankan cricket umpire. [1] She is currently a member of Development Panel of ICC Umpires. [2] [3] She was one of the female umpires named by the ICC to stand in matches in the 2023 ICC Women's T20 World Cup. [4] [5] Perera played for Sri Lanka Army Sports Club in domestic cricket. [6]
In July 2022,she was added to the ICC's Development panel for the first time. [7] She was the first female umpire from Sri Lanka to feature in a T20 World Cup. [8] She officiated in List A matches in the Major Clubs Limited Over Tournament in 2022 and she stood in her first List A match on 19 July 2022,between Panadura and Kandy. [9] [10]
She stood as an umpire in her first Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) in the 2022 Women's Twenty20 Asia Cup,in the game between Malaysia and Pakistan on 2 October 2022. [11] She also officiate in the semi-final match between India and Australia of 2023 ICC Women's T20 World Cup,along with New Zealand's Kim Cotton. [12] She stood in her first Women's One Day International (WODI) between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh on 29 April 2023,when Bangladesh tour to Sri Lanka. [13]
In September 2024 she was named as part of an all-female officiating group for the 2024 ICC Women's T20 World Cup. [14]
Aleem Dar PP is a Pakistani cricket umpire and former first-class cricketer. He has been a member of the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires. Dar won the David Shepherd Trophy three years in a row from 2009 to 2011,after being nominated twice in 2005 and 2006. Aleem Dar,Marais Erasmus,Richard Kettleborough,Kumar Dharmasena and Simon Taufel were the only umpires to have received the award from its inception until 2017. Before becoming an umpire,Dar played first-class cricket as a right-handed batsman and a leg-break bowler for Allied Bank,Gujranwala,Lahore and Pakistan Railways teams. Dar is also a member of the Men's National Selection Committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board.
Deshabandu Handunnettige Deepthi Priyantha Kumar Dharmasena is a Sri Lankan cricket umpire and former international cricketer. He is a member of the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires and the first person to participate in an ICC Cricket World Cup final both as a player and an umpire. A right-handed batsman and a right-arm off break bowler,Dharmasena was a member of the Sri Lankan side that won the 1996 Cricket World Cup.
Richard Allan Kettleborough is an English international cricket umpire,and former first-class cricketer who appeared in 33 first-class matches for Yorkshire and Middlesex. He was a left-handed top order batsman and occasional right-arm medium pace bowler. He attended Worksop College and was a member of the college cricket XI for a number of years.
Ruchira Palliyaguruge is a Sri Lankan umpire and former first-class cricketer. He played for Bloomfield Cricket and Athletic Club,Chilaw Marians Cricket Club,Saracens Sports Club,Nondescripts Cricket Club,Old Cambrian Sports Club. Palliyaguruge bowled right-arm medium pace and batted right-handed. Playing mostly club cricket,he has over 200 first-class wickets to his name and also over 4000 runs in a career that began in 1989/90.
Masudur Rahman Mukul is a Bangladeshi international cricket umpire and former first-class cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and an off-break bowler.
Suzanne Redfern MBE is an English cricket umpire and former cricketer. She played for the England women's team between 1995 and 1999,including at the 1997 World Cup.
