The New Zealand national cricket team represents New Zealand in men's international cricket. Nicknamed the Black Caps,they played their first Test in 1930 against England in Christchurch,becoming the fifth country to play Test cricket. From 1930 New Zealand had to wait until 1956,more than 26 years,for its first Test victory,against the West Indies at Eden Park in Auckland. They played their first ODI in the 1972–73 season against Pakistan in Christchurch. New Zealand are the inaugural champions of WTC which they won in 2021 and they have also won ICC CT in 2000. They have played in the CWC final twice and the T20 WC final once.
Richard Keith Illingworth is an English former cricketer,who is currently an umpire. The bulk of his domestic cricketing career was with Worcestershire,although he had a spell with Derbyshire,and overseas with Natal. He played in nine Tests and twenty-five ODIs for England,including participating in the 1992 and 1996 Cricket World Cups. He was a part of the English squad which finished as runners-up at the 1992 Cricket World Cup.
Paul Wilson is an Australian cricket umpire and former cricketer who played one Test match and 11 One Day Internationals (ODIs) for the Australian national cricket team,as well as domestically represented South Australia and Western Australia.
Kyle David Mills is a New Zealand cricket coach and former international cricketer who is the former bowling coach of the Kolkata Knight Riders. He was also a former captain of the New Zealand cricket team in limited-overs matches. Mills played top-class cricket between 1998 and 2015 as a bowler. He featured in three World Cup tournaments for New Zealand in 2003,2011 and 2015. He was a member of New Zealand's first ever T20I team. He also topped the ICC ODI bowling rankings in 2009 and also occupied in the top ten bowling rankings among bowlers in ODI cricket for a considerable period of time. He was also a part of the New Zealand squad to finish as runners-up at the 2015 Cricket World Cup.
The 2006 ICC Champions Trophy was a One Day International cricket tournament held in India from 7 October to 5 November 2006. It was the fifth edition of the ICC Champions Trophy. The tournament venue was not confirmed until mid-2005 when the Indian government agreed that tournament revenues would be free from tax. Australia won the tournament,their first Champions Trophy victory. They were the only team to get one loss in the tournament,as all other teams lost at least two matches. West Indies,their final opponents,beat Australia in the group stage but were bowled out for 138 in the final and lost by eight wickets on the Duckworth–Lewis method. West Indies opening batsman Chris Gayle was named Player of the Tournament.
The 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup was the 11th Cricket World Cup,a quadrennial One Day International (ODI) cricket tournament contested by men's national teams and organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC). It was jointly hosted by Australia and New Zealand from 14 February to 29 March 2015,and was won by Australia,defeating New Zealand by 7 wickets in the final. This was the second time the tournament was held in Australia and New Zealand,the first having been the 1992 Cricket World Cup. India were the defending champions having won the previous edition in 2011,but they were eliminated by eventual champions Australia in the semi-finals.
Hamish Kyle Bennett is a New Zealand former international cricketer who played for the New Zealand national cricket team. He played for Wellington in New Zealand domestic competitions. Earlier in his career he represented New Zealand in the 2006 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in Sri Lanka.
Timothy Grant Southee,is a New Zealand international cricketer who has captained New Zealand cricket team in all formats of the game. He is a right-arm medium-fast bowler and a hard-hitting lower order batsman. The third New Zealand bowler to take 300 Test wickets,he was one of the country's youngest cricketers,debuting at the age of 19 in February 2008. On his Test debut against England he took 5 wickets and made 77 off 40 balls in the second innings. He plays for Northern Districts in the Plunket Shield,Ford Trophy and Super Smash as well as Northland in the Hawke Cup. He was named as New Zealand's captain for the first T20I against West Indies in place of Kane Williamson,who was rested for that game. The Blackcaps won that match by 47 runs. Southee was a member of the New Zealand team that won the 2019–2021 ICC World Test Championship. Southee's Test batting strike rate of 82.68 is the third highest among batsmen with a minimum of 2000 careeer runs. He was also a part of the New Zealand squads to finish as runners-up in two Cricket World Cup finals in 2015 and 2019.
Nathan Leslie McCullum is a New Zealand former international cricketer who represented the national team in One Day International and Twenty20 International cricket. A right-arm off-break bowler,he played domestically for Otago between the 1999–2000 and 2015–16 seasons. He was also a part of the New Zealand squad to finish as runners-up at the 2015 Cricket World Cup.
The 2007 ICC World Twenty20 was the inaugural edition of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup,formerly known as the ICC World Twenty20 that was contested in South Africa from 11 to 24 September 2007. Twelve teams took part in the thirteen-day tournament—the ten Test-playing nations and the finalists of the 2007 WCL Division One tournament:Kenya and Scotland. India won the tournament,beating Pakistan in the final.
Shakib Al Hasan is a Bangladeshi cricketer who plays Test and ODI cricket for the Bangladeshi cricket team. He is also a former member of Parliament for Magura-1. He is known for his aggressive left-handed batting style in the middle order and controlled slow left-arm orthodox bowling. He is widely regarded as the greatest Bangladeshi sportsman and one of the greatest all-rounders of all time.
Rodney James Tucker is an Australian cricket umpire,member of the ICC Elite Umpire Panel and officiates in international Tests,ODIs and T20Is. He was a cricketer who played briefly for New South Wales from 1985/86 to 1987/88,before moving to Tasmania where he played from 1987/88 to 1998/99. He was also vice-captain of Tasmania from 1991/92 until 1995/96. He briefly played as Captain/Coach for the Canberra Comets in the 1999/2000 season before retiring from cricket as a player.
Richard Allan Kettleborough is an English international cricket umpire,and former first-class cricketer who appeared in 33 first-class matches for Yorkshire and Middlesex. He was a left-handed top order batsman and occasional right-arm medium pace bowler. He attended Worksop College and was a member of the college cricket XI for a number of years.
Trent Alexander Boult is a New Zealand cricketer who represented the New Zealand cricket team in all formats between 2011 and 2024. He continues to play in various Twenty20 leagues around the globe as a fast bowler. Boult was a key member of the New Zealand team that won the 2019–2021 ICC World Test Championship. He was also a part of the New Zealand squads to finish as runners-up in two Cricket World Cup finals in 2015 and 2019.

Mitchell John McClenaghan is a New Zealand former international cricketer who played One Day Internationals and Twenty20 Internationals for the national team. Domestically,he played for Central Districts,Auckland and Otago as a left-arm medium-fast bowler. He was also a part of the New Zealand squad to finish as runners-up at the 2015 Cricket World Cup.
Sharfuddoula Ibne Shahid Saikat,also known as Sharfuddoula Saikat,is an international cricket umpire and a former first-class player from Bangladesh. He is the first Bangladeshi umpire to be included in the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires in March 2024. He also officiated in 100 matches in men's international cricket including ICC Men's Cricket World Cup in 2023.
Chanila Krishna Bhat Nandan is a cricket umpire and former cricketer from India. His playing career included three first-class matches for Karnataka,over a period from 1983 to 1988. He made his umpiring debut in 1999,and has since umpired in various Indian domestic competitions,including Ranji Trophy and Indian Premier League matches.
Lachlan Hammond "Lockie" Ferguson is a New Zealand cricketer who represents the New Zealand national team and plays first-class cricket for Auckland. He is able to bowl at speeds in excess of 90 mph,his fastest being 157.3 km/h (97.7 mph). Known for his searing pace and lethal bouncers,he is one of the world's fastest bowlers to have ever played the game. He was a part of the New Zealand squad to finish as runners-up at the 2019 Cricket World Cup.
Wayne Roger Knights is a New Zealand cricket umpire. Along with Tim Parlane,Knights umpired the final of the 2015–16 Ford Trophy,in January 2016. He was added to the ICC International Panel of Umpires in June 2016. He stood in his first One Day International (ODI) match,between New Zealand and Bangladesh,on 26 December 2016.
