The system of Japanese numerals is the system of number names used in the Japanese language. The Japanese numerals in writing are entirely based on the Chinese numerals and the grouping of large numbers follow the Chinese tradition of grouping by 10,000. Two sets of pronunciations for the numerals exist in Japanese: one is based on Sino-Japanese (on'yomi) readings of the Chinese characters and the other is based on the Japanese yamato kotoba.
Ju-On is a Japanese horror franchise created by Takashi Shimizu. The franchise began in 1998 with the release of the short films Katasumi and 4444444444. Shimizu attended the Film School of Tokyo, where he studied under Kiyoshi Kurosawa. Kurosawa helped Shimizu shepherd the Ju-On projects to fruition.
Nii-jima (新島) is a volcanic Japanese island administered by Tokyo Metropolitan Government. It is one of the Izu Seven Islands group of the seven northern islands of the Izu archipelago, and is located approximately 163 kilometres (101 mi) south of Tōkyō and 36 kilometres (22 mi) south of Shimoda Shizuoka Prefecture. The island is the larger inhabited component of the village of Niijima Village, Ōshima Subprefecture of Tokyo Metropolis, which also contains the larger, neighboring island of Shikine-jima and the smaller, uninhabited Jinai-tō. Nii-jima is also within the boundaries of the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park.
The National Institute of Informatics is a Japanese research institute created in April 2000 for the purpose of advancing the study of informatics. This institute is also devoted to creating a system to facilitate the spread of scientific information to the general public. The NII is the only comprehensive research institute in Japan in informatics. It also oversees and maintains a large, searchable information database on a variety of scientific and non-scientific topics called Webcat.
Nichicon Corporation is a manufacturer of capacitors of various types and applications and is one of the largest manufacturers of capacitors in the world, headquartered in Karasuma Oike, Nakagyō-ku, Kyoto, Japan. In 1950, it separated from the Nii Works Co., established itself as Kansai-Nii Works and finished its first factory by 1956. In 1961, it adopted the Nichicon name and have been using it, or a variant thereof, ever since.

The Thai Japanese School of Bangkok is a Japanese school located in Huai Khwang District, Bangkok on Rama 9 Road. It is sponsored by the Thai-Japanese Association. It is the school with the largest campus in Bangkok, and one of the two Japanese schools in Bangkok. It allows students from junior school Grade 1 students to middle school Grade 3 students to learn. The school only allows students with a Japanese nationality to study.
162173 Ryugu, provisional designation 1999 JU3, is a near-Earth object and a potentially hazardous asteroid of the Apollo group. It measures approximately 1 kilometer (0.6 mi) in diameter and is a dark object of the rare spectral type Cg, with qualities of both a C-type asteroid and a G-type asteroid. In June 2018, a spacecraft, Hayabusa2, arrived at the asteroid.

CiNii is a bibliographic database service for material in Japanese academic libraries, especially focusing on Japanese works and English works published in Japan. The database was founded in April 2005 and is maintained by the National Institute of Informatics. The service searches from within the databases maintained by the NII itself [NII Electronic Library Service (NII-ELS) and Citation Database for Japanese Publications (CJP)], as well as the databases provided by the National Diet Library of Japan, institutional repositories, and other organizations.

Kobe Chinese School is a Chinese international school in Chuo-ku, Kobe, Japan. It is one of two Mainland China-oriented schools in Japan, the other being Yokohama Yamate Chinese School. It provides elementary and junior high school education in grades 1-9 and offers first choice in admission to children of alumni. The second choice is priority to Chinese people. The school established a policy of trying to minimize enrollment of Japanese students in 2000. In 2008 about 40% of the students were Japanese nationals who are ethnic Chinese.
