The Jaffna Kings (often abbreviated as JK) is a franchise cricket team that competed in 2024 Lanka Premier League (LPL). The team is based in Jaffna, Northern Province, Sri Lanka. The team was captained by Charith Asalanka and coached by Avishka Gunawardene. [1]

Kande Arachchige Isuru Udana Tillakaratna is a former Sri Lankan cricketer who represented Sri Lanka internationally in limited over formats. He currently plays domestic cricket for Tamil Union and Wayamba. Primarily a left arm fast bowler, Udana evolved as an all-rounder in late 2018. On 31 July 2021, Udana announced his retirement from international cricket.
Pinnaduwage Chaturanga de Silva, or Chaturanga de Silva, is a Sri Lankan professional cricketer who represented his country at international level in limited overs cricket. He is primarily a left-handed batsman but bowls handy slow left-arm orthodox. He continues to play domestic and franchise cricket around the world. Chathuranga de Silva was educated at St. Aloysius College, Galle, where he started his cricket career. He is the elder brother of Sri Lankan All-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga de Silva.

It was originally scheduled to start in August but was rescheduled several times due to restrictions for the COVID-19 pandemic.

On 16 December 2020, the team won the inaugural Lanka Premier League 2020 Championship and are the current title holder of the tournament. The team captain Thisara Perera and Shoaib Malik both played pivotal roles in the win.
Colombo Strikers, formerly known as Colombo Stars and Colombo Kings, is a franchise Twenty20 cricket team based in Colombo, Sri Lanka, that competes in the Lanka Premier League. In the inaugural season, Murfad Mustafa was the owner of the franchise. The team was supposed to be coached by former Australian cricketer Dav Whatmore. However he pulled out ahead of the 2020 Lanka Premier League for personal reasons and was replaced by former English cricketer Kabir Ali. Kabir Ali was again replaced by Herschelle Gibbs after he tested positive for COVID-19. Angelo Mathews was announced as the icon player and Andre Russell was named as the marquee foreign player.In June 2021, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) terminated the franchise ahead of the 2021 Lanka Premier League, due to financial issues.
Kandy Falcons, formerly known as B-Love Kandy (2023), Kandy Warriors (2021), and Kandy Tuskers (2020), is a Sri Lankan franchise professional Twenty20 cricket team that competes in the Lanka Premier League (LPL), representing the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka which was founded in 2020. Chris Gayle signed up as the marquee overseas player and Kusal Perera as the local icon Player. In October 2021, the team changed their name to Kandy Warriors after changing owners. They further changed their name to Kandy Falcons in 2022.
